Disgruntled Goat: So True Detective is Fark's new "It's so cool we need a greenlight every day" show, huh?

Noted.

It's called "pop culture" and it occurs in real time. Don't worry, it'll be over in a month or so and you can fret about something else new you don't understand.

It's a remarkable show. We are making remarks about it.

You see, Fark is a place where people come to discuss things that are occurring in the world in real time.

Go eat some cookies and then take a nap. You'll feel better.

kasmel: Yeah, that show's ok. All the adulation for it though...it's not exactly justified.

I've watched it, but just couldn't get into it..

Does this make me a bad person? I think it does

Dwight_Yeast: farkingismybusiness: By who? Charlie Lange?

Yup.

He says that there's a Satanic cult practicing human sacrifice deep in the woods in Louisiana.  It sounds so much like drug-addled nonsense, but it's the one thing that connects all the dots on the show so far.  The only thing it doesn't explain is what causes the split between Hart and Cohle.

The split between Hart and Cohle comes seven years later though. They had only been working together 3 months when they got this case.

Dwight_Yeast: steverockson: Dammit, now I have to re-watch them all! Ha!

I'll give you a hint: it's something we're told the meth cook said.

By who? Charlie Lange?

/just go ahead and spoil it (as long as it's your theory). I'm drunk and probably won't remember.
