There's a lot of irony in his statement

He would never have been in the position he's in if it weren't for those anti-discrimination laws.

Somebody's pissed that Teddy is getting all the attention

Hobby Lobby: "it's a corporation, so we aren't responsible financially if it fails."

"But, it's us, so it has our religious belief."

What a giant load of horsesh*t.

"You're telling me that I can't treat some people poorly, just because of who they are? RELIGOUS PERSECUTION!!!!!"

Again, the asshole who dared to tell the Republican Party to "stop being the stupid party" says something really stupid. Republican leadership is made up of really stupid people or really malevolent people. That says something about Republicans in general.

You're a dumber man than I am, Gunga Jindal

I guess the issue of the day is "Christians are under attack".

Discrimination for me and not for thee.

2014-02-14 04:14:16 PM
Shut up, Jindal, you cock.

Farking dead-guy-on-a-stick worshiper.
Gives me the willies the way you people go around praying to a dead-guy-on-a-stick .
*shudder*

If they keep this up, they're gonna get their religion banned.

I'm not really sure where the Bible concentrates on the whole "have no dealings whatsoever with sinners" tack that has suddenly and extremely-specifically applied to homos and hormonal birth control.  Who's the bigger heretic: a Jewish straight or a Christian homosexual?

Why do I even care?  This is all political red meat.

I really don't understand this latest propaganda blitz. Christianity is probably the most well, protected and entrenched faith in this country. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. Are people sometimes critical of politicians who wear their faith on their lapels? Sure. Does that mean Christianity is under attack? fark no. I just don't understand how someone could believe this sort of bullshiat.

When your holy book says you go to heaven if you're persecuted, you're going to go through elaborate mental gymnastics to convince yourself you're being persecuted.

If bigotry and intolerance is an essential quality of your faith and is required of its followers, I'd say you have bigger problems than gay people.

And probably need a new belief system.

A silent war on religion is unconscionable. We need an actual shooting war with concentration camps and everything.

Are you kidding me with this? Brunch is one of the greatest inventions in modern history.

Wake up late, drag my butt to a restaurant where they fill me with mimosas until I eat steak, or eggs benedict, or pecan waffles, or hell, all of the above, then top it off with a couple of bloody marys and an irish coffee, then go home and sleep all afternoon. How the hell is that a bad thing?

I see that as one of the things the gays get right. One of the many things, actually. Style, childlessness, good drugs, dancing around to a pulsing beat in smoke, lasers and colored lights, parades, and of course brunch most of all.

Except the butt sex, though. Yeck. Blech.

The Teaching of Jesus are interfering with my ability to praise Odin.

And i know which one I don't want to piss off.

What if the buttsex were had during brunch? You know, some fellow is behind you plowing away while you're eating your steak? Or, you could sit the plate on his back while you're pounding away so you get the needed nutrients to keep plowing.

How does this guy still have a career in politics?

Right he's republican, you can be totally wrong and literally dump millions into the water as long as you tell experts that they are stupid and wrong and they'll vote for you even more.

Good point. Slavery is also in the bible. In fact it even tells you the correct way to treat slaves. So obviously anti-slavery laws are an invasion of my religious beliefs.

it's just appalling anyone defines religious freedom as religious discrimination.

in fact, if you want to do business with the public and be a real business, this is the choice you make. If you have religious issues with running a business, you have problems that we can't solve, and shouldn't have to.

Amen.
