Where do I get a job that pays me millions to get fired? I could totally do that job.

He resigned though. He wasn't bought out.

He is also getting a new 500k a year job with the University.

FTFA:

Texas will pay former football coach  Mack Brown a total of $2.75 million over four years as part of the settlement to force an early retirement for Brown

The 'resignation' was to save face, the $2.75 million is a buyout for all intents and purposes.

He "resigned" <wink> <wink>
The 2.75M is so the pink slip never sees the light of day

Its the same that would happen at Bama if Saban goes 8-4 for the next 5 years and 1-4 against Auburn during that time frame

Special Adviser to the President.  Unless Powers needs advice on how to run a 4-3 defense, I doubt he'll be doing much for that 500k.
