(Daily Mail)   Someone, somewhere decided dogs' faces aren't expressive enough - and could be improved with the use of fake eyelashes   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 31

pretty cool idea but I see some practical problems. outside of not everyone having internet at home, power tends to go out in snow storms. overall I'd like to see an emphasis on covering different topics throughout the year rather than 'make sure their asses are in the building for x days or else you need to add them on to the end of the year'. this could work exceptionally well for a light summer load to avoid knowledge loss though.

What we were after now was the old surprise visit.
That was a real kick and good for laughs and lashings of the old ultraviolence.

If you can't read your dog's expressions, combined with body language and tail action, you're not paying nearly enough attention to your buddy. Fake eyelashes are just punking your dog.

Not sure if you posted in wrong thread, or this is the most pointless rambling statement I've read in a while.

Good Lord woman, your dog NEEDS steak.

She's a greyhound/pit mix, and her body got the greyhound genes, so that's really her natural shape... deep chest, tiny waist, some ribs showing due to the thin fur and skin.  She can run like you wouldn't believe though!  We've been working to put a few pounds on her, which is thwarted in part by her insane metabolism (vet compared it to a jackrabbit's).  Only had her 1.5 months, so we are getting there.  Seriously, best dog ever.

Dawww......I'm glad you're so pleased with her and I am sure she'd well loved.  She just looks so thin but the greyhound blood sort of explains it.  Greyhound/Pit - first time I've ever heard of that combo :)

Yeah, my fiance and I never heard of a greyhound mix either since those dogs are usually so purposefully bred, but we love greyhounds and pitbulls, so when we saw the Washington Animal Rescue League had a mix, we *had* to go see her!  Weren't planning to get a dog until later this summer, but there are some things you don't pass up.  She's a sweetheart, smart, loving, social... all qualities you want in a family dog.  The full body picture was taken during the car ride home from the shelter, actually.  Now she definitely has a bit more muscle from running around the field behind our place and playing with other dogs.  We feed her on the raw diet, so she eats more chicken and beef than we do!
