2014-02-13 08:41:29 PM
Cool. I'll have to check that out.

2014-02-13 08:42:30 PM
Got the ones I want already.  Now if all the singles with the remixes, instrumentals, and b-sides were going up, then I would be interested.

Classic hip hop instrumentals are hard as hell to find in good quality because they were usually vinyl only.

2014-02-13 08:42:48 PM
Oh boy!

2014-02-13 08:43:43 PM

Infobahn: Nope

Yeah one of the few decent rap groups still around and a hugely influential one, why would you care?

2014-02-13 09:00:48 PM
That's very De La Soul of them.

2014-02-13 09:06:54 PM
I still got these potholes on my lawn.

2014-02-13 09:10:19 PM
I give it about two minuets before their website goes down.

The Grind Date is way unappropriated. It's such a good album and "Rock Co Kane Flow" is one of the sickest beats ever.

qu'est-ce qu'ilya a manger? les chaucisses sans doute.

2014-02-13 09:26:25 PM
Not really a fan, but hey, free music. I'll download it.

2014-02-13 09:28:38 PM
Got the 3 Feet High 2 LP set a few months ago, it's all I really need.

Trugoy is "Yogurt" spelled backwards.  Get it?

2014-02-13 09:46:51 PM
Is there a magic number of songs I should download?

2014-02-13 09:47:06 PM
Didn't 3 Feet High change the way as plying was treated legally?  Shut down a great creative side of music, unfortunately.

2014-02-13 09:47:23 PM
What's a DelaSoul? Is that some kind of kitchen gadget catalog, or a Lakeside collection thing....

*clicks*

Oh. Rap shiat. Pass.

Sampling?  No, that was a Biz Markie album that did that.

Both 3 Feet and Paul's Boutique were created before that, IIRC.

Hey, if you like it, go nuts. More power to you. Unlike most conservatives and republicans, I do not follow the "I don't like it and it makes me uncomfortable to think about so it should be banned so you can't have it" train of thought.

I didn't know what a De La Soul was, it sounded familiar, like the cooking store by me here locally  http://www.surlatable.com/.

I don't have anything against that Rap stuff, I just can't stomach it myself, so I'll pass.

Is you calling me a scrub supposed to be an insult or something?

Put a reminder in your phone NOW

Or just leave a message on your phone. It's got an answering machine that can talk to you. It goes,

Hey, how ya doin'
Sorry ya can't get through
But leave your name (uh)
And your number
And I'll get back to you.

And ya ain't getting a haircut neither. Scrub.

Does that include the track they did with Teenage Fanclub for the "Judgment Night" soundtrack?

I can't believe I used to be Mr. Steve Austin on the mic.
Six million ways I used to run it.

He's right.  3 Feet High preceded them both.   De La was sued for a brief sample from the song "You Showed Me" by The Turtles on the song Transmitting Live from Mars".  That said, I'm not sure that it was the first instance of a sample based lawsuit - but it may have been.

Cool. De La Soul is one of my favorites. I'll have to see what all they got posted. And really don't get the hate on them here. I guess it's Fark and we have to hate everyone but still...

Was hoping someone would mention this track. One of the best from that OST. Nice use of Tom Petty in a hip-hop tune.

I'm unclear on something here... it says that the giveaway starts at 11AM, but I have it on good authority that their P.A. won't set up 'till noon.
