The weird part to me is that she is so attached to it (or vice versa) that she doesn't want it removed.


I agreed with your thinking initially but then thought that an 84 year old person probably doesn't want ANY surgery.

In any event, it's creepy as hell.

johnnieconnie: If memory serves, there was an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent about a woman with a calcified fetus. And she was pretty creepy, and there was murder involved.

I remember that episode. The woman was also not exactly "all there," even going so far as to convince her boyfriend that the dead fetus had actually grown up and was a drug addict who desperately needed help. Christ that was weird.
