johnnieconnie: Johnson: The Mütter Museum has one of these on display.

That museum is absolutely fascinating. I had a chance to visit a few years ago and is worth your time. It was practically standing room only, so plan your visit accordingly.

We did the sleepover thing they recently offered.  Best sleepover ever!

johnnieconnie: If memory serves, there was an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent about a woman with a calcified fetus. And she was pretty creepy, and there was murder involved.

/got nothin' else

Thankfully they didn't tie that story into SVU.

PluckYew: cgraves67: anthonix: FTA:  "In December, a nearly identical case was announced in Colombia. That woman opted to have surgery; the Brazilian says she does not want the fetus removed."

EEEEEWWW!!!

The weird part to me is that she is so attached to it (or vice versa) that she doesn't want it removed.

I agreed with your thinking initially but then thought that an 84 year old person probably doesn't want ANY surgery.

In any event, it's creepy as hell.

Yeah, I'm thinking its an '84 is too old for surgery' thing. There would be a painful recovery, plus the expense, risk of infection....if it's never bothered her before she might think to herself, meh, might as well save the pain and money, not like I need a flatter stomach at my age.

tylerdurden217: uber humper: tylerdurden217: 44 is gen x??

y?

Post baby boom to 1984 seems too wide of a definition IMHO. If you were born in 1969 and grew up listening to Billy Idol, I propose Generation Aquanet.

Generation Crue... Generation Poison... Generation Welcome to the Jungle...  I like where this is going....

Composite bioceramics in the basement of matrix biology?  Accretive depositions are more likely than you think.

They have new "generations" like every 5 years now. It used to be the WWIII generation, then their asshole kids, the Baby Boomers, then my slacker Gen Xers. Now there's Gen y, the Mllennials, etc.

I was going to say follow up but it appears we only read about the Bogota woman in December, not the Brazilian.
