Because riding a roller coaster in the rain was such a good idea in the first place.

Actually... it absolutely is. =D  I love riding something like California Screamin' in Disney's California Adventure when it's cold and misty out, sitting in the front row, and having the cold wet air whip into my face for the launch.

Cheetah Hunt is a fun ride with its accelerations but you always want it to get going and keep going. Since it keeps slowing down to simulate the pace of a cheetah it leaves you a bit unsatisfied. Shame they couldn't have added a few cork screws or something to.. I dunno.. simulate a cheetah grabbing its prey and rolling or something? :P

Ran away with a carnival when I was 9, the carnival owner let me help wash the elephant, feed the lion and all kinds of neat stuff. Carny was fun for a little while.
Antique rides as likely to sling you into the side of a truck, as make the full number of rotations, damn, need to change out those bearings and grease the damned ferris wheel.
They went north of the manson nixon line so I thumb-tripped back south.
Sure miss that old elephant and lion. Poor old lion was getting so old I'd put on a clown suit to help him go from pylon to elephant back, if he looked like he needed help, the elephant knew him well and would playfully tweak the lions tail as we walked past the lions cage-trailer, the lion would let out a mighty Roar.
Old as he was, I'd still be a toy to him or the elephant if they decided to do some damage, they'd been treated right.
Hey if some people in tmfa died can we feed them to the lion?

The people that got stuck on the ride were stuck on it before it started raining by almost an hour.  The rescue happened in the rain.

They didn't make it far. That's right after it leaves the loading platform.

It's cool when you can beat the rain on the first hill.

/supposedly this happens sometimes at Cedar Point

I really don't know what they are complaining about. They got a way longer ride than anyone else did. Spoiled if you ask me.

Particularly when the whole point is to experience the adrenaline rush from the instinctive terror of the ride. They got so much more than their money's worth. If the rescue process were faster, a ride with emergency services plucking you off a stalled coaster would be an awesome addition to the park!

That's happened several times and is resolved in 15 minutes every time, they just send a mechanic up in the elevator to push the train forward. In TFA it appears that the train malfunctioned in a way that makes it unable to move, since it's stuck at a high point of the track and they didn't just push it to a low point to make the rescue easier.
