How much for a pair of Norwegian curling pants?

Jesus - I don't have cable, so I missed it.  Those are indeed butt-ugly.  WTF, Ralph Lauren?

There is no accounting for taste

"One sweater takes more than 12 hours," Elizabeth Park told the Los Angeles Times. "Lots of hand whipstitching, and it goes through many hands." Park owns the City of Commerce factory where the sweaters were produced.

And the workers who make these $790 outfits are probably paid minimum wage.

If we're to believe the Fark headline, then the emperor is better dressed than those who bought the outfits.

I thought they looked pretty fun and would've bought one.  But I was on vacation, and had other things going on.  Maybe they'll make more and they'll show up in the RL outlet store near me this summer/fall.

Oh, I forgot to comment on the snowboard team uniforms that were basically a replica of what the GI's were wearing in Iraq a few years ago.  I didn't think those looked good, and I wonder what people from other countries thought of the message.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn they're made by prisoners at below minimum wage. I remember reading an article about knitting and crochet jobs at women's prisons.

I'll stand by what I wrote in another thread: they look like the set of the Colbert Report.

Gee, thanks Grandma. You shouldn't have. How's the nursing home by the way? I hope you're not upset that we put you in there.

Proof yet again that money and taste don't automatically go hand in hand. Only way I'd buy one is if they showed up for cheap at an outlet, since they would be perfect to win the day at an ugly sweater party.

It would come as a surprise to absolutely no one.

Are we talking about the digital camouflage which actually made the wearer more visible to enemy eyes?

My wife and I actually like them. They are much more muted than many other national outfits in Sochi thus year.
