I love Ancient Aliens.  So absurd it's great.  I admit, I watch it.

The logic is tremendous, and they basically all cite each other.

If they wanted valid scientifically sound results, they would sent the samples to university or respected crime labs NOT to some doofus from the freaking starchild project.

I watch it too. Aliens (and the comedy factor) aside, it's given me a lot of additions to my "awesome ancient ruins that I'd love to visit" list.

If you watch some of the older episodes you can see the progression in his hairstyle going from relatively normal to full Londo Mollari.

He's great to watch. He takes it so seriously! It's awesome.

It's pretty much the only reason I watch it now. The comedy factor left town a long time ago and everyone and everything they now say is like a parody of themselves.
Their theories, logic, commonsense etc are so preposterous I always think they are in a competition - trying to outdo each other and whoever does it with the straightest/ poker face telling the most incredible theory/ fact wins.

But I do like the footage of ancient ruins or some tidbit of actual, verifiable info - like the name of a location. That's it.

My favorite is the older lawyer/doctor shorter guy who twitches and wears a bomber jacket and aviators.  When pressed on absurd conclusions his out is that aliens already know how to do that, basically anything Superman can do, aliens can do.

There is actually some historic refs to these people. They taught primitive people many things, but were never accepted, and when people didn't need them anymore they killed them or mistreated them until they left the area.
They didn't look like us, but they were responsible for much of what became civilization.
They were probably stranded here, boy when their folks come back and read what happened to them they are gonna be pissed.

This is exactly what I was thinking. They reference  Brien Foerster, but he's a guy that's written books on skull elongation, and I'm pretty sure he knows fark-all about DNA.

People from this group were on C2C last night.

It would not surprise me if the geneticist from Texas is Melba Ketchum, the woman was said her group sequenced bigfoot's DNA.

Nothing about peer reviewed articles or reproduced results. This is on the same level as all of those Bigfoot DNA tests.

It's very unlikely that Earth is the only planet in the universe where intelligent life exists. It is also unlikely that aliens are visiting us because of how far they would be coming from. None the less I am excited every time I read or hear about something new in the field, not because I need proof that we not alone but because I really want to be wrong about interstellar travel being impossible.

So far I've always been disappointed as I want proof that most reasonable skeptical people will accept. I've never encountered that kind of proof.

I end up checking out most of the nutjobs' websites, and it's good fun. Especially that David Wilcox, who thought he was the target of an assassination conspiracy. And the fat goateed guy, I can just distinctly hear his nasally voice in my head.
