Republicans LOVE "illegal" immigrants. They are a workforce that can be paid slave wages, have absolutely no bargaining leverage to change anything, can't vote against them and act as a bogeyman to scare cranky, stupid old white people who can vote FOR them.

If they really wanted to fix illegal immigration they would be all for an amnesty program where if you could PROVE you've been in the country for over a specific amount of time (let's say three years) and have not a) gotten in sh*t with the law and b) have managed to sustain yourself for that time then you're in. Add a five year probationary period if you want so that if they do break the law they get booted. Most of those "illegals" just want to work and not have to deal with the mess that is Mexico these days... which I might add wouldn't be such a damned sh*thole without the US WOD.

Seriously? It's not impossible and it's for good reasons that immigrating requires some effort. No developed country in the world just lets people walk in and start using public benefits and resources without some kind of process, most of which are far more onerous and restricted than the U.S.

This.

Immigration is just like Abortion for the Republicans. It's a an issue they use to bash Democrats in order to get elected. They don't give a shiat about either of those two except for political purposes. Otherwise, they would have tried to fix/stop them when they controlled Congress and the White House. Just like they've tried to repeal the ACA 40+ times. It's all show and it's done in an attempt to get elected. Fark the GOP and it's ignorant ass supporters.

We can't even get Puerto Rico's standard of living up to Mississippi level after all this time, how are we going to do that with a country the size of Mexico. The size of the border is not the problem, the real problem is lack of interior enforcement which draws people to the border. If people knew they couldn't find jobs and had a non-astronomical chance of being deported once they got into the U.S. not as many would come over.

Aaaand so much for your fiscal conservative claim.

You do realize that spending has been reduced significantly since the evil blah man took office, right? You do realize that the last guy you had in office was bleeding money more than any administration ever has since WWII right? You do realize that at least one of the wars he started was completely unnecessary and he knew that, right? You do realize that the admittedly insane amount of spending currently going on is a direct result of those wars and a global financial collapse that was caused by your guys clawing back regulations designed to prevent such things, right?

I could go on but I'm sure you've got some more pearls of wisdom to respond with so I'll sit here and wait. Perhaps our friend Joe would like to chime in as well.

I'd hope she would have received better treatment in the U.S., but I doubt it. Haters suck.

Because she is white and transgendered she should get special treatment for trying to go back to a country where she broke the law by overstaying her visa?  She knowingly flew back and stepped off the plan without perhaps going to the Canadian Embassy in the UK, who would been happy to advise her her options?

I've worked with lots of people here (in the US) on visas.  It's not impossible.  It may be difficult, but in either case -- difficult or impossible -- so be it.  It's not like there's some inalienable right to move to whatever country you feel like moving to.  If you disagree or feel the system is too restrictive, then (through your representatives in Congress) change the law.

You did not need to get a visa prior going to France, all you needed was a passport.

lol... WTF are you talking about? Why the hell would a democrat vote for any of those guys? They're f*cking DEMOCRATS!

Did you mean "liberal" or "left leaning moderate"?

Still though, I respect McCain and I think he could have done a decent job IF he wasn't tied to that god awful party. A perfect example of the man's principles shining through despite his marching orders was when he denounced the "Aey-rab" statement from that crazy lady. But he went right along with it up until then. He obviously knew it was wrong but did it anyway and when his conscious couldn't deal with it he spoke out at the worst possible time. And what did he get for his honesty? Booed... by his OWN SUPPORTERS!!!

Romney was just evil incarnate. There was absolutely nothing good about that guy and every time he spoke it was like he was talking down to everyone like the smarmy POS he is. He only cares about himself and made it perfectly clear he only holds contempt for anyone not with his own social strata. The sad part is the republican base are so blinded with hatred and ignorance they did not recognize this... and that is the scariest part of all.

The republicans need a complete overhaul and frankly I would LOVE to see that happen because their current insanity is allowing the so called "leftist" party move further and further right and tossing more and more resources at big business and nefarious authoritarian bullsh*t.

This is turning things into a ONE party system and THAT is f*cked. Completely f*cked.

If they did they would be Americans not racist "Latino activist"

Same way you determine if they are here illegally.

I Like Shiny Things: Dog Man: Christ, what an asshole.

Wrong thread holmes.

Yeah, Christ sounds pretty OK. Most of his followers are the assholes.

We use words like "toilet", "crapper", "shaitter". We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something.  You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who pisses and craps in the public bathroom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "gracias", and via con Dios.

Joe Blowme: FTA: "for anyone who's in Arizona illegally to use any public resource."

Maybe the "Latino activists" need to pick a country to be apart of and stick with it.

They did, asswipe.

Seel has admitted his bill isn't likely to pass. In fact, it hasn't even been assigned to a committee for a hearing, which is the first step in moving any bill toward a vote. However, Seel said he felt the need to introduce it to make a statement.

So basically you are collecting a generous salary, healthcare and pension plan courtesy of taxpayer dollars AND tying up public resources just to be an obnoxious sh*thead.

Way to be "conservative", sh*tcock.

Bleh.  Stupid reading.  Yeah, this is the activists' interpretation that it would "include" public toilets.  I'm not too hip on illegal aliens getting tuition paid by public coffers (or even in-state rates).  The toilet is just...silly, yes.

Yeah, I'm about as anti-illegal alien as they come and I think this is a dick move.  Not allowing illegal aliens to use the restroom?  That's just...come on!
