Olo Manolo: AverageAmericanGuy: Depends on what we mean by "release it miles from home".[www.doyourownpestcontrol.com image 500x500][janeannethorne.files.wordpress.com image 850x637]why not both?
Olo Manolo: blaming this/that doesn't fix the problem. doing away with the source of the issue does.
The My Little Pony Killer: Olo Manolo: blaming this/that doesn't fix the problem. doing away with the source of the issue does.So the neighbor with the barking dog should be able to take out the whiner. Problem solved./oh, that's not what you meant?
doloresonthedottedline: Had to look to see what state. Got no sleep all night or all day--neighbor has a loose dog that apparently just runs laps down our street at night. We have 3 (basset, treeing walker coonhound, and a jack russell), neighbor has 7-8 beagles (3+ on the other side of the wall my bed is against) and 2 small yappy dogs, and the end of the street has at least 4 more dogs. I actually went to see if I remembered how to use a BB gun midday it was so bad. It didn't work anymore so I went with rum instead.Really hoping we don't have a repeat tonight.
doglover: Burn down the neighbor and hang his house.
Savage Belief: This is actually pretty tame considering the alternatives. Neighbors are probably assholes that would pick a fight and then tell their whole family to act as witnesses saying you started it. Or, the cops show up and shoot the dog under the "it was threatening me with a squeaky toy" defense. Taking the mutt to the woods is the best option.
Olo Manolo: Having done "A)" to no avail, and "B)" not being an option due to there being no "proper authorities" for such a thing in the area.. "C)" seems preferable to shooting or otherwise maiming it... (or having to continue listening to the blabbering mutt...)
semi-ok: When I was little, my parents did this to our next-door neighbor's dog after it killed our three rabbits. My dad took it (with pet-rabbit blood still all over it's face) from our yard and drove it miles away. The dog was a pain in the ass and so were the neighbors. The dog ended up being found a few days later by the owner, who happened to be out in that area on one of his long-ass runs that he enjoyed - he had no idea how the dog ended up so far away.csb
gadian: It was a crime and I should feel much worse about it than I do.
Contrabulous Flabtraption: Xylitol is poisonous to dogs...you know, the stuff in gum. Just sayin
