Hopefully they'll get him out before the twilight's last gleaming.

I guess "barricade" does sound more exciting than "won't answer the door", but...

He was just shooting the tires.

FTA: "The hotel is less than a mile from the Francis Scott Key Mall."

What the fark is the relevance of mall's proximity to this story?

/With quick and easy Interstate access....
//And a Starbuck's right next door...

That looks like the hotel used in at least one episode of 'The Following'.

Fun fact, this is a whole lot more commoner in crappy hotels then you would think it is.  Doesn't always make the news though.

I used to live in Frederick! It's gotten pretty hairy there since 9/11 when people started moving there in droves, prices started skyrocketing. The situation pushed all the lower income people out, Frederick, which has a beautiful down town core, has become an urban sprawl, much like Germantown, Gaithersburg, Rockville. I loved it there, hated to leave.

Do you hear the suspect sing,
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of some guy,
who will soon be in jail again!

I can answer that. Since FSK mall is the only place to shop in town, people will want to know how this effects the sale at Sears.

/I live here.

Well, I could see it going a number of ways at Sears...

On one hand, the cops and the shooter won't be in your way while you try to shop, but...

on the other hand, Sears can be a lot of help when you start the barricade, or...

On the third hand:

Sears sucks, Crash!

Haha.  No, thank Jeebus.  I'm on the Eastern Shore, or as our former governor called it, "the shiat house side of Maryland."

I've Barricaded myself in my house a few times over the years, the difference is that no one knew about it.

Happened in the Motel6 a few blocks away from me awhile back. Fortunately the cops waited until 5:30 am or so to storm the room because that flash grenade (or whatever) woke up the whole neighborhood.
