Lets talk frankly about internal cleanliness: Still wondering why they didn't do something like this with that giraffe in Copenhagen.
Gecko Gingrich: Lets talk frankly about internal cleanliness: Still wondering why they didn't do something like this with that giraffe in Copenhagen.I'm wondering why you didn't read the articles and not just the headlines about that case.
Lets talk frankly about internal cleanliness: The articles on the case I read stated the giraffe's genes were already well-represented by other specimens at the park, so they had to do something. Why "transferring the animal to a park that would be happy to have him" wasn't an option, is what my question was.
andyofne: FTA, "...25 female adult squirrel monkeys had rejected all other males and have only been mating with 10-year-old Purus, who arrived in 2009 from West Virginia"
madgonad: Didn't a German zoo just kill a giraffe and feed it to the lions for similar genetic reasons? Why isn't the chimp being eaten right now?
Bermuda59: Will they send him to South next?
