Is this the airport that the Mythbusters use sometimes for car stunts and such?

No, that one's in Alameda. But the Mythbusters have used the massive hangar at Moffet a few times -- helium football, and folding paper more than seven times, IIRC.

Nevermind; I'm pretty sure it's Alameda where they go, because you can see downtown SF in the background a lot.

Oh, ok, yeah, I know that hangar. Thanks!

I wonder if they'll let Larry Ellison land there, since he's always in hot water for flying his private jet out of KSJC in the middle of the night and waking everyone up.

I thought they already had a small airport at their headquarters? As long as they finish rolling out fiber to the rest of my town soon I don't care what else they buy.

Get working slackers!

My impression is that they're just paid caretakers for the airport, while the govt still owns the field.

So they don't own it any more than the University of California owned Los Alamos labs.

I'm waiting for Amazon to buy out airports and offer Prime Flights.

To clarify, those experiments were carried out in Hangar Two, which isn't causing lead and asbestos to leech into the soil.

Moffett Field is practically next door to the Googleplex.

I'm pretty sure Google does half the stuff they do just to manipulate aluminum foil futures.

Given Moffett's history, Google's next step must be to construct a huge dirigible. It would be much more impressive than those barges.

They should buy that brand new empty one in Spain used in that episode of Top Gear.

Considering hanger one is an enormous airship hanger I imagine this relates to their plan to have floating wifi hotspots.  They could probably service a fleet of autonomous units out of this airfield.

The airfield is for their fleet of Amazon drone interceptors.

Google is giving up on private shuttle buses and they're going to take their employees to work via blimp

Well, then, I guess we can just drop those pesky charges that NASA's people were letting Google buy tax-free government jet fuel at Moffett, right?

Grand Moffett Tarkin.

there's a bunch of stuff going on between Google and NASA. I believe Google is paying for NASA's use of the quantum computer.

The Bestest: there's a bunch of stuff going on between Google and NASA. I believe Google is paying for NASA's use of the quantum computer.

There's also some issue of Google getting "accidently" charged NASA rates for jet fuel at a facility they share.
