(WorldNetDaily)   Somewhere between nailing interns and creating a budget surplus, Clinton used the IRS to harass and intimidate his enemies, somehow making him far worse than every previous president who did the exact same thing   (wnd.com) divider line 11

Clinton got a blowjob.
George W. Bush got us into two wars which cost upwards of 200,000 lives, one of which had nothing to do with 9/11, and all the while crashed the budget surplus that Clinton created while cozying up to the people who were helping our enemies in the first place.

So tell us more about how Clinton allegedly "using the IRS" made him worse than the next 10 years of our nation's existence?

Oh, wait. Lemme go get my friend who's crippled for the rest of his life because of the Iraqi War. He'd want to hear your explanation.

HMS_Blinkin: Good work, guys.  Keep on attacking the guy who hasn't been in power for over 14 years.  Way to stay current.

/seriously, are they trying to re-write history on the Clinton admin now?

Yes, focus all your time and money on attacking Hillary and preparing for her to run for President. There's no way that focusing on Hillary, rather than other potential candidates, could backfire *twice*, right?

Before Clinton was elected, the Conservatives/Republicans argued that we should not elect Clinton because, if elected, he would massively increase liberal programs and drive up the deficits, and that his plan to raise taxes would destroy the economy.

After Clinton's two terms in office, the Conservatives/Republicans claim that the deficits did not decrease fast enough but, in any event, possibly running a surplus was a terrible thing so what was really needed was massive tax cuts instead of paying off debt.

The 1990s was when I discovered the Conservatives/Republicans were completely full of shiat, if anyone cares.

Yup, Obama used his time machine to go back in time to give the time machine to Clinton so he could go back further in time to forge President George Herbert Walker Bush's signature on the treaty.

Bush negotiated it and Clinton signed it.  Maybe it's time we someone with a different last name a chance.

DrPainMD: PainInTheASP: Clinton's large budget surpluses also owe much to the Social Security tax on payrolls. Social Security taxes now bring in more than the cost of current benefits, and the "Social Security surplus" makes the total deficit or surplus figures look better than they would if Social Security wasn't counted. But even if we remove Social Security from the equation, there was a surplus of $1.9 billion in fiscal 1999 and $86.4 billion in fiscal 2000. So any way you count it, the federal budget was balanced and the deficit was erased, if only for a while.

FactCheck.org (pops goes the talking point)

Then I guess the Treasury Department's official figures are wrong?

Well, the numbers in the article I linked came from CBO historical data which is linked in TFA, so someone obviously is mistaken.  And since I can't see the direct source of yours, that kind of narrows it down, doesn't it Sparky?
