Gordon Bennett: Nice farking try. You can't defend a statement then turn around and deny having said it at all when that doesn't work.

Are you not familiar with politicians at all?

walktoanarcade: GDubDub: With no helpful pictures of what a racist tweet may look like.

Save your time, it's a pic of the prez in an unflattering moment made to make him look like a racist joke.

Hint: It includes a badly photoshopped banana.

"No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD! "

The third lie's the charm!

So, which was it? Free speech? My American friend sent it to me? My account was hacked? I love watching the statement that she clearly didn't write, in two parts, tweeted well after she basically took ownership of it by defending it.

Of course, that's the best part of the SoCheap 2014 Olympics - watching all of the unplanned events, like the 100-meter stray dog biathlon and the basic room furniture scavenger hunt. This event, the 3-person PR team Twitter relay, isn't one of my favorites, but it does beat the trash pile slopestyle event by a mile.
