b2theory: Did Kickstarter recently relax their requirements on projects that can seek funding? I am seeing more scams and perpetual motion machines.


I think they simply stopped vetting projects and wait for complaints to roll in. I recall there was a project recently that got completely funded and Kickstarter got the complaints basically 24 hours before it closed on its own.
Then there was a video game project that ran for a long time before anyone realized all the screenshots were taken from an existing obscure game.
