Agent Smiths Laugh: So the women returned to the restaurant's drive-thru window around 3 a.m. and ordered again. Torres was the passenger in the vehicle, and was flirting with the employee in the first drive-thru window. She left that person her phone number in hopes he would call her later.

Police tracked down the shooter at her home because she left her cellphone number at the restaurant during the first incident so the manager could call so they could discuss the wrong order.

Torres pulled out a gun, reached across the driver and fired a bullet through the closed car window, and then the drive-thru window, police told 24 Hour News 8.

You want to know what the real cause of violence is? It's not access to guns, it's stupidity.

If she'd been stupid w/o a gun this may have gone differently.

Funny, she doesn't look like the sort of woman who would want meat in her sandwich...

The My Little Pony Killer: Anayalator: I used to get bent when they put cheese on my no cheese order. I always thought it was easier to make something if you got to put one less ingredient on the food. Then it dawned on me that it was an extra step for them to take the frozen cheese off of my frozen food before they microwaved it.

Oh look, the morons who have never worked a day of fast food in their lives are here.

This is one of the strangest comments I've ever read.  You're missing your calling, you should be a spin doctor for FOX.

I would say both. An impulsive idiot with a gun can kill someone with the twitch of a finger. Without a gun, she'd have had to get out of the car, march into the restaurant, and commence beat-down. Plenty of time for her to either think better of it or realize that it's too much work.

I am against guns because IMHO the average person is an idiot and I think we're all safe when idiots don't carry.

I'm of the mind that the idiots are going to get the guns anyway (because prohibition simply doesn't stop the criminally minded), and I'd like to at least be able to shoot back if my life depends on it.

And armed society does not make a polite society, because humans are involved. I'm not concerned with polite. I'm concerned with return fire.

DROxINxTHExWIND: The My Little Pony Killer: dj245: The My Little Pony Killer: Why do you people continue to patronize places that are continually screwing up your order? Once, I can see, but when you whine about them doing it every single time you go there, the problem is not with them.

Because I need something to eat after I get out at work at 5:15 but I need to get to class by 6.  The drive takes 30 minutes with traffic and there is nothing else quick on the way.

I can deal with mistakes.  Food is food.  The errors in my order never are in my favor though.  I am getting really irritated about that.

So pack yourself a lunch. Problem solved!

/you *do* know how to spread peanut butter and jelly on two slices of bread, right?

Pack a lunch?!?!  *GROAN*

But, that will require 5 minutes of planning and a little bit of forsight. FARK! Why can't I just do things the absolute easiest way and complain that people aren;t making it easier?

Oh c'mon now. Anything other than PnJ that sits unrefridgerated for 8-10hrs will probably make you sicker than anything McD's has on the menu. It's dinner, not lunch, you're suggesting s/he pack.

kling_klang_bed: They actually mistook the sound of a gunshot for the sound of an exploding coffee pot?!
Not exactly the sharpest peanuts in the terd, huh? But I'm sure they'll have bright futures once they figure out how to drop the fries and what direction to pull them up in.

Sounds like the shot was from inside a car with the windows closed, outside the building also with the window closed. That would have attenuated the report considerably. It also depends on the calibre. This being a woman, it may have been a .380 or even a .32 or .22. (I don't mean that as condescending, but many women are uncomfortable with a 9mm or .40)

Odd Bird: Anayalator: Odd Bird: Ask me about KFC, I dare you.

Let me guess...you were a flunkard?

No.
KFC - I took the kids there, we ordered our food and I sent them to wash their hands.  They came back and informed me there was no soap.  I take a look; there's no soap or soap dispenser.
I returned to the counter and asked the ESL 101 failure where the staff washed their hands.  Apparently if the word isn't on the menu, they haven't heard it.  After about 5 minutes someone figures out they have a health code "you're closed" violation scenario unfolding.

When I was 16 I worked at a Pizza Hut making pizzas. No one was ever told to wash their hands before starting work. I was the only one in the kitchen who did. People can be pretty disgusting.

I'm sorry, sweetheart. I meant the head chef was really upset about my special order hamburger, and the maitre d' cursed me. I was kicked out of the McDonalds so fast, the coat room girl gave me the wrong blazer.

Hey, fark off smartass.

I'm suggesting that they take initiative for themselves instead of whining that the people they condescend for having the jobs that they have aren't doing their jobs well enough. It's his own personal problem that he's foisting on other people.
