Police tracked down the shooter at her home because she left her cellphone number at the restaurant so the manager could return her call to discuss the wrong orders.

Damn fine police work.

This is what you get when the only cop in sight is armed with a whistle.

So much for "an armed society is a polite society." That was downright rude of her to do.

If only the workers would have had a gun, none of this would have happened.

About ten years ago, I was eating in a McDonald's in New Orleans, and some guy threatened to shoot everyone behind the counter in the face if his fries weren't hot and fresh. I pretty much stick to going through the drive-thru nowadays.

2014-02-10 10:29:32 AM
To be fair, who hasn't felt like doing that when McDonald's gets your order wrong?

2014-02-10 10:30:23 AM
I didn't know it was two wrong orders means a shooting....brb, gotta go shoot up the McD's down the road.

/they mess up an order every other time I go there
//Dad's obsessed with their Biscuits and Gravy.
///Gets mine from the locally owned donut shop because it's better and cheaper

Working while bullets fly through the restaurant is still safer than eating there.

Last time they got my order wrong, I got somebody else's order, with a LOT more food than I ordered, so I am getting a real kick, etc.

Let me guess. Here was the order:

"I want a Mac Double with real onions not the chopped ones. Tomatoes and lettuce to the side. A Diet Coke with light ice and a value fry with light salt. I need 20 napkins, ten ketchups and some BBQ dipping sauce."

She is in every car that has been in front of me at McDonalds. The ice is never light. The fries are too salty or not salty enough. The lettuce and tomatoes that are wrapped in a hamburger wrapper seems to be a crime against humanity.

I used to get bent when they put cheese on my no cheese order. I always thought it was easier to make something if you got to put one less ingredient on the food. Then it dawned on me that it was an extra step for them to take the frozen cheese off of my frozen food before they microwaved it.

Depends on the context. A new place or only an order wrong every year or so is one thing, but when orders are wrong every other visit ya just want to toss a grenade through the drive thru window.

/they're actually drive BY windows
//well, some people drive through them
///technically correct, the best kind

In my town, the Burger King is much, much worse than the McDonald's when it comes to screwing up orders.  I've stopped going to my local Burger King because whenever I do, one of the following happens:

They screw up my order.

Or

My food takes forever, and when they finally give it to me it's cold.

Oh, and one more thing about my local Burger King.  If I complain to them about them messing up my order and give it back to them, they act like I'm the asshole and only grudgingly fix it.

They actually mistook the sound of a gunshot for the sound of an exploding coffee pot?!
Not exactly the sharpest peanuts in the terd, huh? But I'm sure they'll have bright futures once they figure out how to drop the fries and what direction to pull them up in.

Well, the staff at my favorite bar like me enough that they regularly give me drinks on the house.  So I guess I'd rather have that than good service at Burger King.

In her defense, they in fact "dis-respected her" for botching up her order twice. That's worth a bullet through the window.

Impossible to get the order right when someone speaks Ebonics through a drive-thru microphone.

The last time an onion ring showed up in my order of fries I took an axe to the girl behind the counter.

She looked confused, but she thanked me politely and stored it behind the counter.

/no really, axe to the face for reals

In college, we called our local Burger King "Mystery Bag" due to their constant ineptitude at getting orders correct.  Sometimes the mistakes were in your favor, sometimes not.  Eating at "Mystery Bag" was the closest thing we did to gambling at the time.

The best example of this was the time my roommate and I went to "Mystery Bag"  and ordered only to find our that we were missing a order of onion rings when we got back to the dorms.  We simply wrote the rings off and ate our meal.  A week or so later we went back and ordered just about the same thing and this time remembered to check the bag before we left.  Not only was the order correct but there was a EXTRA order of, you guessed it... Onion rings in the bag.

Yeah, I know.  Cool story, bro.

Really? has it affected your life so much you need a manager to call and "discuss" it? WTF do you want a root cause and action plan?

I don't think the kind of gal who puts a bullet through a drive-thru window at 3 a.m. is the real health-conscious type.

Is a felony weapons offense anywhere close to attempted murder? Because asshats that fire their weapons at others should be punished pretty damn near what an actual murderer would be. At least two years in jail and a few years of probation.

powhound: Is a felony weapons offense anywhere close to attempted murder? Because asshats that fire their weapons at others should be punished pretty damn near what an actual murderer would be. At least two years in jail and a few years of probation.

It would likely be felony aggravated assault, which in Louisiana carries a minimum of five years, add to that any associated gun charges and it would go from there. Assault might be tough since apparently none of these mental giants even knew a gun had been fired at them, so you probably still have a felony gun charge with reckless endangerment added in. But, still, her intent at the very least was to create a reasonable apprehension of imminent harm with a firearm, so I'd go for a bill of aggravated assault at the least, maybe even attempted murder.

Me too, but if someone tries to take my Arbys curly fries I'll stab them with a spork and rub Horsey Sauce into the wound.

/Nah, just kidding about the sporking.
