It can come from any age, race, creed, or religion! Animal rights activists, this man here is your face! This is literally the defense you loudly proclaim you wish you could give every animal! Most gun owners aren't assholes, or irresponsible, or crazy.

Maybe one or two out of ten are.

And that minority us why we need much tougher restrictions on everyone. Because that's still way to many crazy, irresponsible assholes with access to guns.

No, pretty sure it's gun grabbers who are attempting to remove people's rights. But your argument sounds identical to those made by Klukkers claiming that blacks should have their rights restricted because statistic reasons.

You are mistaken.

When justifying most claims, reliable and consistent data is required.

When justifying restriction on civilian firearm ownership, anecdotes and bare assertions are sufficient. For some proposed restrictions, even demonstrably false claims are adequate.

Most of the self-inflicted GSWs I've seen are in the urban ranger outfit where they think that the waistband or pocket are great places to keep their concealment weapon and their various items. We've had to talk to a few of our SO volunteers on the rescue squad about running out and buying tactical gear to wear on the rig and on callouts, too. One guy showed up to a search for a missing person in all black, with a tactical vest on that said POLICE on it, and a - shiat you not - TASER on a tactical drop holster.

You can't make this shiat up.

One of the guys I used to work with shot himself in the foot with his G26 that way. He wore a bulletproof vest over his uniform shirt on the job, and had every cool thing he could get out of the US Cav catalogue, including the obligatory Zombie response insignias and HAM Radio antennas on his pickup.

Only time I've ever seen a person IRL carrying a gun tucked into a waistband of his sweatpants was at the customer service counter at Best Buy in Germantown. I did a doubletake because I couldn't believe anyone could be that careless with a gun in public and not be arrested.
