Anyone that biatches about this seems to be clueless to the amount of damage boar/pigs do.

Seriously, pigs are horrible, horrible creatures.  Hunting them isn't hurting, it's helping people(especially farmers) and other wildlife in areas they infest.

LAUGHTER OL the submitter of this is just the much of the idiot of a person as the people who provide the activism.

Let us now have the following of the logic of this:

He promotes the nonviolence but does watching of boxing!

He wishes for conservation of resources but shiats in the toilet!

He has the argument against human trafficking bit owns the passport.

He says to not do torture but then does the listening to Bruno Marszszs (actually this one has that which is credibility).

OMG ONE MOMENT HE SAYS FOR PEOPLE NOT TO DO THE RAPING THE NEXT MOMENT HE ENGAGES IS THE SEXING!

Submitter you have more of the mental disease for also being such the uncreative that you practically engaged in the copying of the headline of this from the article. Proceed in consumption of the taco.

ABSOfarkNGLUTELY THIS.

Pigs can have as many as six litters of around six piggies each a year.
They tear up the ground like a herd of rototillers when they're rooting for food.

They are a nuisance,  and do tons of damage to crops and sensitive areas. Many places don't even have a season on them- just shoot away!

they're also damn delicious. waaaay more flavorful and yummy than steroid riddled, water-injected, farm raised "pork."

I don't think they are.

The problem with these activists is they lack perspective. Everything is a crisis to them. They have no focus, so they blow everything out of proportion. And when that happens, nobody will listen to them.

Of course illegal poaching in Africa needs to be shut down. His Highness is right about that. And one of these things has nothing to do with the other.

Wild boar are invasive, aggressive, destructive, and they breed impressively.  That's true in Spain and virtually every place they exist. They are omnivorous creatures and will tear up landscaping, gardens, or wooded areas to get a meal.  They can attain rather impressive size, and pose a danger to humans and their pets.

They make up for these negative factors by being tasty and fun to hunt.

In many states, especially throughout our southern tier of states, they are recognized as a nuisance species and are allowed to be hunted year-round with no bag limits.

Aggressive hunting and trapping have had relatively little impact on their numbers.

And no one with any sense encourages hunting of endangered species in Africa or anywhere else.

There's a reason why there is no limit, no season and no tag required for hunting wild pig in pretty much every State in the Union. Hell, there's a guide in the Santa Cruz mountains that'll take you out with nothing but spears. In Australia, they use SKS rifles. (Hunting vid, not very pretty to watch.)

Wild boars are common as dirt and in densely populated western Europe nature is farked up to such a degree that you need active management to maintain wildlife as we know it.

Having never had wild boar, is adult wild boar a decent meat to jerk? Have heard it's tough, and piglet is much more desired, but I imagine with enough 'seasoning', it could be tasty. Thoughts???

Just don't try a tusker. The meat of sexually mature wild pigs often develop a strange taste, due to sex hormones. The best ones ore young animals, max 2 years old.

Hunting in general is not illegal in the UK.

There are gun controls which mean individuals can't usually have their own firearms, but clubs are allowed to keep firearms locked up, and members of the clubs can use them during scheduled hunts.

At least that was the idea I got from speaking to people in the UK. I may not be completely accurate, but I know for sure that hunting is legally practiced over there.

You can have your own rifle or shotgun for hunting, no problem.  My nephew has had is own shotgun since he was 11, and my brother in law uses a rifle to thin out the wild rabbit population on his land.  (Plus the occasional squirrel, the thieving buggers).

Wild boar are not endangered. They're thriving. However, liberals are idiots hell bent on infecting the world with stupidity.

If the "conservatives" of the period when the Constitution was written had gotten their way, there would have been no 2nd Amendment, and the Bill of Rights would never have been ratified.

A tasty, tasty pig?

Wild boar is good.  Really good.  Much better than farmed pig.

Apparently they're not considered shoot on sight bad in Spain like they are in much of the US, but there is a hunting season, and they do actively try to encourage some population control by hunting.

What the hell does one have to do with the other?

A quick google shows that boars in Spain are spreading rapidly and causing destruction to agriculture and wildlife due to lack of predators, just like in many other parts of the world, DESPITE hunting programs. So the obvious answer, according to these people, is that they shouldn't be culled at all and spread even further? If there is a lack of natural predators they need to be controlled somehow, and that has nothing to do with ILLEGAL wildlife export.

anti-hunting campaigners

Ah. Another group that wants to ban stuff for everyone because of their own personal aversion to something, regardless of facts or reality.

willfullyobscure: Assault weapons like the AR-15 should be banned. They have no place in civil society.

Except for wild pig hunters, I guess that's a valid exemption. I mean, if some retard wants to buy a $1600 varmint rifle because it looks cool like his vidya games show, who am I to say no.

As long as its only used for feral hogs. Otherwise, ban military-style firearms outright.

For god's sakes at least keep the gun whargarbl stuff in threads about American events. And no, ironic shiatposting is still shiatposting.

0/10. At least try. Anyway, ban away, as long as you ban every other "military-style" design of other legal products. Might be worth it to force those H2/H3 abominations off the roads.

Most weapons, including shotguns and the venerable bolt-action rifle, were at one point "military-style."

In Missouri the hunting regulation books stress this. They tell hunters to shoot any feral hog they see.
