Amazing these are considered the "scrubs" of the event and still only 3 seconds or so from gold..

That skier should get an honorary medal just for that save.

How did Austria not win any Alpine medals? Their whole country is mountains....and hills... that are alive... with the sound of music.

IIRC they were almost the host of these games too, running on a Not-Sochi platform..

Come on, Andorra. Why do you suck at this? Your whole country IS a mountain.

That's a fairly salient point given all the mishaps that have gone on.

It's your connection. There seems to be an auto-resolution correction mechanism based on your bandwidth. Mine occasionally switches back and forth from high res (styckx's image) to low res (your image) when I do other things (surfing, d-loading, etc). But the picture is sharp and looks fantastic if you got the speed and your ISP/proxxy's not messing with it.

I am somewhat enjoying the fact the the 'scene' versions of the events (you know, pirates) are from the CBC.  2HD is doing an excellent job getting them out quick, usually within an hour or so of the event concluding.  HD or SD too.

I think he's only competing in the Slalom.  If so, not until the 22nd.

It isn't official but the last few skiers are no where in the class of the ones who went earlier. It pretty much is over.

Anyone know the reasoning why so many competitors are in the downhill?  When only half the field stand a chance? I think some of the other alpine events are similar..

They might not win, but they are still Olympians and deserve respect.  The event isn't over til they're all done.

So no curling then? The only streams I've been able to get working at all are the ones on firstrow, and there's no curling. The only even happening now according to them is the Swedish hockey game. I can't even find a basic listing of all events listed in Pacific time, anywhere, at all. Unless it only exists on some Russian language website.

I honestly thought that by this point, those jumps would have started looking somewhat less terrifyingly high.

Nope. Still scary.
