More likely than you may think. Google "international McDonald's food." They tailor menus to local tastes. Japan's are batshiat insane.

Just remember: the pictures always look better.

The move underlines Vietnam's hunger for Western consumer brands and the attractions for foreign investors, say observers.

Despite the Vietnamese economy's recent slowdown, foreign brands are popular among the youthful population whose parents had few of the food and lifestyle options now available in the country.

This is how the US wins wars these days. Watch your back, Tehran, our consumer goods will bury you!

FTA :   The restaurant is being run by the prime minister's son-in-law.

What an amazing coincidence.

To all y'all saying that we lost the war in Vietnam... think marathon... not sprint
FTFA: Starbucks, Subway*&, Burger King, and KFC all have a presence there.
We won their hearts, their minds and now their stomachs!
Soon they'll be too fat to fit in their underground tunnels!

"the prime minister's son-in-law. Henry Nguyen"
"Mr Nguyen is the founder of travel and food group Good Day Hospitality  "
"He is married to the daughter of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung"

The nice thing about being Vietnamese is no one has to change their name when they get married.

Now see, that's what I keep saying! Screw the sanctions, and the tough talk, and the drones and crap. We need to make FRIENDS with all these crappy little third world hellholes and tinhorn dictators.
We need to be their buddys - their pals. We need to let them have whatever stupid little thing they want (nukes, satelite TV, Kate Upton, whatever) - and lots and lots of nice American dollars, and lots of "aid" from our corporate sector. A McDonalds on every street corner, with a Starbucks across the street. A ford in every driveway, and a big screen in every living room, playing "American Idol", and wealth-porn daytime soaps, and advertisement for things to stick in the most intimate parts of your body.
We'll never have to fire a f**king shot.
