It seems like there's been a lot of lopsided scores between top teams this season. Just me?

czetie: It seems like there's been a lot of lopsided scores between top teams this season. Just me?

I think it's been a lot of mismatched momentum in the matchups. Arsenal has been unsteady recently, and Liverpool just got Sturridge. Spurs' demolitions came when AVB had lost control and they couldn't score outside the penalty spot.

No Suarez goal. Sorry desertgeek.

ok, we have some visiting pool fans at the club this am, and they actually have a song for aspas.

Wenger with his best Moyes In Disbelief impression.

2014-02-08 09:38:30 AM
Well, Arsenal can at least say they tied the second half at 1-1.

I just realized, Arsenal could drop as low as 3rd by the end of the day. #slowkid

I assume no one got more than +10 out of that?

If my autopred is an absolute wizard, I could have +30. Of course, it'll pick an Arsenal win or a tie instead.

I missed the goal difference by 3

Redmond doing well against the City defense

1) Had to get up off the couch and go to work. At least I didn't miss anything.

2) Wes Brown- straight red for a reckless tackle.

2014-02-08 10:19:14 AM
Oh FFS offside. We had the ball in the back of the net.

At least it's less onesided than the 'pool/Arse game.

It is your FFPL report!

img.fark.net

At the top nathanjr holds onto first place. OPERATION BALLSOUT came a cropper for him though as NUFC fell badly against Mackems, tearing his +20 BB out of his cold, dead hands. I have reduced his massive lead slightly and perhaps more importantly claimed the Presidency of the BB club thanks to a conservative choice of MCFC Vs Palace. I extend my small lead over wynswrld in third.

At the bottom Darkwyrm, Gothenberg_Red and Defrus are on their third zombie warning. Cameroncrazy_1984 just managed to stay in front of Fulham Zombies.

Top score for the round was a mighty 65, achieved by both Sachbash and Bolo78. Desertgeek placed third with 55. At the other end, 13 players handed points back. Gonz_Hotspur lost 30. ADubs86 doesn't want to talk about his -45 and LucklessWonder is going outside and may be some time [-70].

Very little movement rankwise. Sachbash, Stimied and Bolo78 all shift up 2. No one Page 2 moved at all. ADubs86 drops 3.

Double bubble this week.

I was -this- close to pasting this into a politics thread.

We haven't mentioned Laudrup getting the chop.

Or - West Ham threatening legal action wrt a red card.

It got mentioned during a midweek thread. No reactions about Vidic leaving during the next window either.

At this point in the first game of today the leaders were 5 goals down.

Norwich are 0 goals down.

Impressive stand at home, especially since Chelsea beat them at the Etihad and are currently doing the business. Wide open title race this.

Toure's kick was dumb, but the norwich guy's acting was worse.

Sitting on -30 right now, but I haven't used my banker or insurance yet.  Hats off to Norwich for holding off City even though it cost me points.  Big point for the canaries.

Oh he should have totally been sent off for it. I'm not arguing it. But the guy didn't actually get hurt by it. He got kicked (red card offense) waited a couple moments then flipped down on the ground. My comment wasn't excusing the kick..it was making fun of the horrid acting.

There ought to be a Worst Flop of the Year award.

With the money spent the answer should always be never. The fact that City are not running away with it should mean every plastic City fan should hand their head in shame.

December 26th 2011 and January 1st 2012, a 0-0 with West Brom and a 1-0 loss to Sunderland. Needless to say, we all remember how that season ended.

Zaha is playing well I think.  Why did he never get a shot at United?

Oops, less so in that shot.

I feel bad the only match I get to enjoy today is the South Wales Derby, and neither Swansea nor Cardiff are really doing much to impress me.  That being said, I figure Swansea will have the opening goal of this match.

The general consensus among well-informed observers is that it was because Moyes has no farking clue what he's doing.

I think Ferguson chose him as his successor because he truly enjoys the Moyes Despair Experience. Why else would he buy tickets for every match?

That Swansea goal was absolutely fantastic.  Great finish and wonderful pass.  That's what this game was missing.

Was there some sort of scuffle involving Monk and a brick during midweek? Eurosport won't stop referencing it.

It was a brilliant push forward with a great pass and yeah...awesome goal.

And Bellamy tried to answer with some great foot work of his own and a thundering strike that left the crossbar shaking for some time.

Has Campbell cooled off from his early-season form? I remember him playing rather well and now he's in the bench.
