JohnnyRebel88: Aikman is pretty awesome and unbiased for an ex-Cowboy star.
ten foiled hats: I do not envy any of these guys their jobs. At all. That said, Simms is...yeah, a bit dim; Aikman is WRONG (read in Dana Carvey "McLaughlin Group" voice); and Collinsworth is more loaded than I am come kickoff time. Which is generally pretty freaking loaded.Still, though, like I said, I don't honestly think I'd fare much better. I'm not paid to, but still, I'd guess it's harder than it seems.
Jack_Knopf: No Joe Buck. No Joe Buck. No Joe Buck. No Joe Buck. *Reads article* Eh, I'm okay with putting "he with circumcision mark on neck" at 7.For the Super Bowl, HWCMON tried to do a parody of home much people hate him...it made me hate him more. I'm glad the game was over by half so I wouldn't have to listen to him any more./I don't like Joe Buck
ChrisDe: It appears that Sports Illustrated and I have very different opinions about NFL broadcasters.
coolio mack: I need Shannon Sharpe and Michael Irvin to call a game together with Emmitt Smith as the sideline reporter. Please make this happen NFL.
7th Son of a 7th Son: [www.pastapadre.com image 500x241]Hey NFL, miss me yet?
Dafatone: He does remain the worst thing ever in baseball. Augh.
bionicjoe: 7th Son of a 7th Son: [www.pastapadre.com image 500x241]Hey NFL, miss me yet?If that is Gus Johnson YES. /ONE MAN TO BEAT......OOOOOOHHHH!!!!
rickythepenguin: JohnnyRebel88: Aikman is pretty awesome and unbiased for an ex-Cowboy star.yeah, mushmouthing "joe, that's right", "that's a good point, Joe", "i agree, Joe", "joe, that's a great point, joe", "i think you're right, joe" 25 times a game is pretty awesome.does Collinsworthless still do that "i'm not so sure" doubletalk? i don't think i hear it as much as i used to. "i'm not so sure that he didn't not get his feet in, "i;m not so sure that that wasn't the wrong call" etc. god he used to annoy the fark out of me with that. but i'm not so sure.
John Buck 41: I can't argue with #1. Michaels is the stereotype consummate professional and damnit, I don't care HOW drunk he is, I like Collinsworth!Let's expand the list from current to all-time. Curt Gowdy and Al DeRogatis!
gonzoduke: JohnnyRebel88: Aikman is pretty awesome and unbiased for an ex-Cowboy star. You've obviously never listened to him announce a Packer game
Saiga410: And that is why I listen to the radio guys. Have TV announcers ever been competent?
zimbomba63: Saiga410: And that is why I listen to the radio guys. Have TV announcers ever been competent? That hasn't always been true. Grew up listening to Jack Brickhouse and Irv Kupcinet doing the Bears games on the radio. You had to watch the TV broadcast, because what they were describing, wasn't always what was happening on the field.
