Two weeks after the Olympics, they should have the drunk Olympics, where all the contests do exactly what they did during the Olympics, while inebriated, and we see what kind of results came out.

I saw him take his run this morning, good lord it's like televised suicide.  That hill is insane, 82 mph top speeds, 100 yard long jumps 20+ feet in the air, all done on essentially ice.  It's no wonder people were crashing right & left.  Really the only way to get down is to go balls out all the way, if you try to ease up a bit the next turn will bite you in the ass because you had to set it up at the ragged edge of the previous turn.

But it's awesome to watch from the comfort of my living room.  Bode looked great, I will give him that.  I only hope that he survives to make it to the podium.

82 is actually pretty low for a Downhill top speed these days.  From what I've seen (not a lot) the course looks more turny than a typical Downhill  but with the very steep start, and enough terrain to make the race 2 minutes long, it's bound to be exciting all the way down.
