CSB: Once the TV in some waiting was tuned into a network broadcast of the movie, and most of the slurs and swearing was censored. They even got rid of the farts in the campfire, leaving it just a bunch of people bobbing up and down like it was exercise time. Then, I heard one line shouted in all its uncensored glory: ALL RIGHT, WE'LL GIVE SOME LAND TO THE N*****S AND THE CHINKS, BUT WE DON'T WANT THE IRISH!!! Everyone within an earshot looked up at the TV in shock.
LonMead: "Now if you gentlemen will excuse me, but the affairs of state must take precedence of the affairs of state."[celebpictu.com image 320x240]aaahh... the lovely Ms. Stein...Would you believe she was 34 and a mother of two at the time this was filmed?
theorellior: gilatrout: I used to have email from my boss play "Work, work, work" leaving the "hello boys I missed you" part off so I could keep my job.I always thought it was jarring that he was calling female breasts "boys".

everlastinggobstopper: A great movie and one of Gene Wilder's best performances. Which one might have been better? Hmmmmm, I wonder......
LukeR: lamecomedian: Baby, you're sucking on my elbow.I've always heard that line was cut from the movie. I think the last time I watched it it wasn't in the movie. Is that true?
Marquis de Sod: That is my favorite line in the movie, and yet I can't explain why
Waldo Pepper: just_intonation: everlastinggobstopper: A great movie and one of Gene Wilder's best performances. Which one might have been better? Hmmmmm, I wonder......Young Frankenstein.Agreed. I've always felt Young Frankenstein was a better movie.
LonMead: Some esoteric trivia...George Harrison's 1976 song Crackerbox Palace has a reference to Blazing Saddles... it's at 2:12 (Harrison commented in an interview that he thought that was one of the funniest lines in the movie, and he wanted to use it in a song - He wasn't sure if Mel Brooks would give him permission, but Mel's wife, the actress Anne Bancroft, was a Beatles fan, and told Mel to give Harrison whatever he wanted).
