Really great

Damn, that's a hard song to play....because it's in 5/4 time not the time most rock songs use....took me forever to get the timing down 30 years ago.  Damn good job!

That Corey Feldman look-alike of a guitarist is gonna be gettin' soooo much trim.

/that is, if he's not getting it already
//which he most likely is

Yeah, some kids have talent. I was looking for tabs etc on master of puppets because I thought, why the hell don't I know that song? Came across this and was impressed just because he plays it way faster than I can and I can't even start to play the fast solo part.

Wow, just wow.

I keep thinking that one of these days I'm going to get a guitar &, nothing serious, but learn to play a bit.  Just something that I've had in mind for quite a few years.  Then I tend to see something like this & a big case of 'fark it' hits for a few more years.

Yeah, but he's being 'that guy', the one that not only wears the band's shirt to the show, but hen it's HIS band playing.... :-)

These kids(Well some kids in a video done by the same guy) were on here a few months ago, I believe, and that video was awesome as well.

LOL, I didn't notice that until you said something and then I couldn't quit looking to decide one way or the other.

And after that song,. I just lucked onto The Trooper on my Sirius.

That was really good, and I almost always hate kids doing anything. I checked out a few more of the videos. Thank You, Pull Me Under, Painkiller, then I got to No More Tears. It says a five year old performed on it. Did they explain the song he was singing? "Sometimes when a man love a woman very much, he kidnaps her, kills her, and does thing to her body before he leaves it for some joggers to find"

Do it!  I said the same thing for years then finally picked it up.  Imagine if you had actually done it a year ago, you'd be strumming lots of tunes no problem by now.  Next year will come whether you pick it up or not, it will likely be at least slightly cooler if you do :).

Aaron Okeefe Music school outside of Chicago I think. Check out all his students work. Amazing stuff but hard work is required to attend.

Damn, that's pretty cool. One of these years I'm going to have to see if I can fix up an old guitar I picked up years ago and never got around to learning more than a few minor pieces of songs from tabs.

As someone who picked up the guitar 2 years ago...this video makes me want to scream "God dammit!", smash the guitar, and take up fishing or heroin or something.

Rocksmith 2014 has a few Maiden songs. They're hard.

Daaaaaayum.  Those kids rock

Really epic stuff, this is like the best music class ever. Truth be told though the secret is in the editing. It is fairly clear that the songs are not one take, and in some instances things are created, for instance a guitar "solo" in another video was actually recorded during the main song and then just the guitar track was spliced into a final video with the only tell tail sign was the drummer was wailing away but there was no percussion to be herd.

Nice on Liveleakk stealing the original vid then someone snagging it off of Liveleak when the original is on the Aaron Okeefe channel in better quality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYKLvYGqaC0

I hate to be "that guy," but to the kid on bass: you are playing a Steve Harris bass line. Ditch the pick.

Just wait til the program director for the Ellen DeGeneres show sees them.

One of the spots that is repeated is wrong every time, too.

Nabb1: I hate to be "that guy," but to the kid on bass: you are playing a Steve Harris bass line. Ditch the pick.

It's just about impossible for a normal human being to pluck Maiden speed and style, without at least several years of practice doing it, I think.

Well, yeah. I played bass for a number of years, and Harris's stuff is very tough.

This is good, as is the 46 & 2 cover, but this is still my favorite from the Aaron O'Keefe kids:

Hard, but damn, if you do manage to pull it off without the pick, you've accomplished something.

I try. Seriously though, I'm one of those poor bastards that always wanted to learn a guitar so I picked one up and learned a few bit pieces of songs on tabs. Then I'd try to do more actual guitar playing and I'd get frustrated and not touch it for a year and lose any progress I made.  I've heard good things about that Rocksmith game but haven't gotten around to picking it up yet.

Unlike AC/DC.  Our bass player always hated it when we covered AC/DC and loved when we covered Iron Maiden tunes.

Interesting factoid-

'Arry only uses two fingers to do all that galloping. Unreal.

Finally, a cover band that does the music justice.

That was great. Hearing kids like this perform some of the best music around like this leaves me with a little more faith for music of the future.
