Having a job which allows for more free time than normal, I get to check out the threads throughout the day.  I've noticed a trend in the gun threads (check the time stamps, I'm serious here).  The majority of anti-gun people post during working hours and the majority of gun supporters or neutrals post during late or off hours.  Sounds like college students don't like guns.  Imagine that.

I am employed by a college. How does that affect your analysis?

dittybopper: somemoron: That last looks like a .22LR bolt action, but I don't recognize the make.

It is.  It's a 1950's vintage .22 LR bolt action (forget the make and I don't feel like opening up the safe to check right now) that my father fixed up for him.  Touched up the barrel and action with cold blue, cut the stock down a couple inches, and put a brass plate in the bottom of the receiver to convert it from magazine fed to single shot.

I fully expect that gun will be functioning perfectly when the littlebopper is my age, at which point that gun will be 100 years old.

Very nice.  I wish mine had been a bolt action.  Would've made me slow down and relax, and focus on getting the shot perfect.  Would have made me a better marksman.  Of course, I haven't fired a weapon in nigh on 15 years or more.  *sigh*
