jaylectricity: I saw those popping up. I didn't click on them but I was curious to see mine. Most liked posts:"So I'm going to be a daddy!""For those that missed it because it got buried in the comments, it's a girl"We lost the baby after 8 months. I feel like going back to erase those posts. But I've already been unhealthily trying to pretend it never happened.
Gunny Highway: But I was longing to read an article about not wanting to see people's Facebook videos.
Pocket Ninja: Gunny Highway: But I was longing to read an article about not wanting to see people's Facebook videos.Well, hopefully there will be a response article on Slate entitled, "Actually, HuffPo, we love the Look Back videos and want Facebook to do more of them." Dueling Twitter hashtags will be established, #IStandWithHuffPo and #SlateIsRight. CNN will pick up a story about the online controversy swirling around Look Back videos. That story will get linked to Reddit, and a few days later will be on Fark. Bloggers will begin taking sides. There will be a national campaign started, "Look Back No Longer: Leave Facebook Now," in which people pledge to close their Facebook accounts. A day later, another campaign will launch: "Look Forward to More Looking Back: Sign Up Two Friends for Facebook." More news coverage will follow. A Chick-fil-A spokesperson will make some off-the-cuff comment and one side will start being boycotted. Sarah Palin will speak to the issue. Multiple petitions will appear on the Whitehouse.gov site. And then, right as the entire nation is poised at the brink, something truly important will happen that reminds us all of how appallingly transient and shallow we can be, how easy it is in this increasingly crowded world to lose sight of what's truly important and get caught up in fake controversies and non-existent issues. I'm talking about Justin Bieber getting arrested again, of course. Can you imagine?
