People who stockpile dead alligators, guns and meth love their children too.

The book I'm reading on Kindle has an article on the Great Maple Syrup Robbery in Quebec. As a bonus factoid, it points out that a couple were investigated by the police after reports of a meth lab. They were making maple syrup.

They gave the cops some for their breakfasts.

I can't blame the neighbours. I imagine the untrained nose could confuse this with some nefarious activity easily. My Father and his buddy, Super Dad, made maple syrup once by tapping the maples on their properties. I can understand why this is usually done in sugar shacks out in the maple stand. Phoo-wee, don't it half stink. What a sickly sweet smell.

People who love maple syrup should not smell it being made.

Stockpile of guns = eight .223 caliber rounds. I would have stopped reading there but it was so far down in the article.

Why is it surprising that the infants were well taken care of?

Not as nasty as broccoli, old cabbage, or kim chee, though, I'll bet.

Have any of you had alligator? It's delicious! I want frozen alligator in my freezer too. Hard to find though, I'm sure if I found it on sale I would buy a ton.

A fish in an aquarium... so what?

Stockpile of guns?

eight rounds of ammunition for an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle,

Eight rounds of .223 is a stockpile of guns now?

The one and only weird thing here is the meth. That's it. And, it sounds like the lady's boyfriend was using it fairly responsibly and the kids were well taken care of so.... who gives a damn?

See, this is why people hate hipsters.  They're always calling the cops and stuff.

/Wait, tipsters?  What the heck is a tipster?!

KidneyStone: eight rounds of ammunition for an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle

Bleeeeep!  Sensationlist media foul.  While .223/5.56 is used in an AR-15 it is also used in a wide variety of other firearms.  Use of the AR-15 name is only because it's a big scary black gun used in mass shooting.  For all we know they could be for an H&R single shot bolt action rifle.

10 yard penalty, 2nd down.

Yeah, that's like finding several rounds of .45 ACP and saying they found rounds used in a Thompson submachine gun.
