Yammering_Splat_Vector: A look back.

Inspiring! I guess I'll have to do one now (this was my idea after all)

Most excellent. I'm working on a video for this but after seeing yours, I think I'll just give up now.

Thanks, guys.  The music puts the Lootster in a better light then he deserves, but hey, he's a lovable little mensch, yes?
Please continue with your effort, Grampy.  You've still got 5 days before it's due.  I only did the video edit because I missed seeing our year end annual Fark review and I was antsy to use my buggy version of iMovie again.

I'm hoping this is only the trailer. Anxiously waiting for the feature length version, a la the Lootie Chronicles or Saga or something along those lines. Bravo, YSV!

Thanks, Alligator.  You'll be pleased to know I have been accumulating every Lootie shop at Fark for the last three months.  Hmmm...On second thought, maybe that's not something to be pleased about.  In any case, I hope to get a chance to torture everyone some more when the time is right.  Glad you liked it!

For those of you with AfterEffects CS6 or higher - here is a project file with all the timing (pretty much) worked out.

The .ZIP file contains the music and basic title screens and Pre-Comp setups for all the rest.  It should be a good starting point for you.

There is a README.txt file that gives you some basic guidance on how to use the file - READ IT FIRST DOG GAMMIT!

Yeah, YSV did a slam dunk with the first entry BUT that doesn't mean yours won't be good.  I'll have mine up, once I've decided what direction to go with it.

I mean to mention that even if you don't have AfterEffects (now) you can download a 30 day fully functional trial from Adobe

My Fark subscription expires in a couple of days. I think I'll pack up my iMovie project and retire.
That was awesome YSV!
I was glad to see my fatty looter in there.
Makes me feel warm all over.

I humbly offer mine in the shadow of YSV's brilliant entry.

PS Look back

Excellent work, D.J.!You've come through with flying colors.  I hope others are toiling on entries behind the scenes.  It will be embarrassing if there are only two of us.

Yammer - Six of my Lootie's. I'm honored.

Hey, we stepped up to the plate - nothing to be embarrassed about that.  I wanted to make the template - thinking of doing one for someone infamous.

Both were great - would like to see more. I don't have the video skills to participate though.  And that Lookback thing deserves to be lampooned

Brilliant!

Anyone know whatever happened to the audioedits on Fark? Those used to be a lot of fun.

The first video edit in years and it's this?

yeah, I briefly thought of doing a mime themed one, but moving on, I'll go with something Fark related

Good, glad to hear it!  I intend to make another one - almost didn't make this one because I started TOO seriously - then got into the 'wasted life' theme.

These sort of competitions do require more resources and skills than the average Photoshop contest requires. With that in mind Audio and Video edits should go live right away with a one week head start before the voting can commence.

Don't know what SLF has to do with anything but thank you much.
Yeah, it turned into less parody ad more what it's supposed to be. It's a WIP. I'll finish it and post it to that ...thread.....when it's appropriate.

Please, try to keep it secretish until then.

SLF? I'm not picking up on the acronym  - yeah, one of the problems with the project is managing the image scales so they fit in the comp right - but yours is a good start - it does take a bunch of tweaking each of the Pre-comps.  A more clever person might be able to setup functions that do that automatically.

Stiff Little Fingers
They were a band frm a long time ago

Only thing I seem to have a problem with...so far...is End_Center.jpg isn't showing up. ANy ideas? All the other pics are good.
But yeah I had hoped to get a lot done at work, but then I actually had to DO work, so that's about 20 miutes of tweaking so far.
