jake_lex: I took Potpourri for $100 and then my head started to spin
SmackLT: Sounds to me like he isn't complaining at all.
Gig103: Nobody but this guy seems to be complaining about the rules because he's a sore loser.
HMS_Blinkin: I've actually read that working the buzzer is a big part of succeeding at Jeopardy. That said, it's not like the other contestants' buzzers were any more or less forgiving, and it is a challenge that everyone had to deal with. He just happened to suck at an important part of the game. It'd be like me saying that the only reason I'm not an NFL running back is because I'm slow and can't break tackles or hold onto the ball very well.
DjangoStonereaver: Was on REMOTE CONTROL back in the 80s. Came in 3rd.

robsul82: I don't know why this guy's gotten all this attention as the ONLY guy to do this. I've seen plenty of people category hop and fish for Daily Doubles.
RminusQ: Since you can read faster than Alex can talk, buzzer timing is crucial
Uzzah: DjangoStonereaver: Was on REMOTE CONTROL back in the 80s. Came in 3rd.How's that Epiphone guitar working out for you?/would've traded my consolation prize for a sniff of Marisol's panties
topcon: I was on Jeopardy. I lost against a plumber and an architect...both with a PhD.

Inchoate: HMS_Blinkin: I've actually read that working the buzzer is a big part of succeeding at Jeopardy.Hahaha it totally is.I was on Jeopardy a couple years ago and timing the damn buzzer was really tough for me. What's odd is that I kicked ass with it in the practice rounds. Nerves are one part; another is that for practice, it's a production assistant reading the questions, and the timing of when they stop talking vs. when the buzzers activate is subtly different from how it is with Trebek himself. They really do give you protips during the commercial break if you appear to be buzzer-impaired. It does not usually help that much./at least I lost to somebody good
bulldg4life: Gig103: Nobody but this guy seems to be complaining about the rules because he's a sore loser. He doesn't seem to be a sore loser at all. In fact, he spends most of the article calling the complaints stupid and talking about how Chu is simply playing the game how the rules allow him to. He even makes a point to say that he is not mad and the guy who beat him was just better at it.
Verrai: Maybe it's just me, but how would category hopping or otherwise moving around randomly improve your chances of getting a Daily Double? If they're evenly distributed across games, they're equally likely to appear as the first question(s) on the top left as they are to be in any other particular location.I see why you should go for the highest-point questions first. But that just seems like common sense (get more money before you hit a Daily Double so you have more to wager when you do hit one).
JohnHall: Why would it matter what order someone picks answers in.
