Didn't this same thing happen last year in Stinking Nebraska? Or was it Farking Oklahoma?

Where in flippin' heck is Flippin?

This is just more flippin' evidence of my contention that all flippin' US news sources should name their flippin' state in the flippin' page banner. That and Springfield, USA, of course, although Springfield is just an extreme case.

I shouldn't have to Google or go to Wikipedia to know where US news happened. In most countries there's not so much redundancy of place names because there's not nearly as many places settled by nostalgic immigrants and Easterners.

But on the other hand, I'm glad I did check because this would make a flippin' great t-shirt:

I've been to FLIPPIN ARKANSAS

and all I got was this FLIPPIN t-shirt

cool, i'm in the state that barely touches arkansas to the southwest...you know, somewhere south of you. what part of ar are you from? i'm from "a place called hope". which is exactly why i haven't lived in arkansas for the majority of my adult life.

Grew up in Benton, AR. Flippin is my favorite city/town/whatever name in the state.

Also, there is a banner with the state named, but it's near the bottom of the page. Not very helpful, Baxter County.

I am from the Town of Nuclear Power. It's not a bad place to grow up/raise a family, but not exactly a hot-spot of fun for 20 somethings.

Where in the state south of me, where you "drive friendly", do you live? I lived in The Big D for a time, but enjoyed CowTown more.

Chachi88's mama lives in Bull Shoals, AR. Closest WalMart is in Flippin. Flippin HS teams are the Bobcats. I thought the "Fingers" would be a better name.

I do miss Cotham's in Scott. Fantastic hamburgers.

Fun fact: in 7th grade, my homeroom teacher was mr. Flippin. When they asked us to come up with a name for our homeroom class, we were "flippins fools"

This, except I have "fellow arkie" tag.

I have not spent much time in the state to the north other than the odd Branson trip. It's been over a decade since I've been there.

Lambert's is good eatin'. Except when the rolls are piping hot and flying at your face.

The article said, "bond was set at 15,000", but they didn't say, 15,000 of what.  Maybe they said "pills", in an attempt to get him to give up the rest of his supply.  It probably worked.

maniacalclown: Grew up in Benton, AR. Flippin is my favorite city/town/whatever name in the state.

Also, there is a banner with the state named, but it's near the bottom of the page. Not very helpful, Baxter County.

/Fifty-six is my second favorite name

My in-laws lived in Mountain Home, the next town to the east of Flippin. My kids' favorite town name was YELLVILLE, just to the west of Flippin.
