That's a shame. I've been waiting years to see a performer of her caliber live.

that's a funny way of spelling "poor ticket sales".

An eating disorder eh? Just when she was looking appropriately sharp-kneed.

I hear she brushes her teeth with a bottle of Jack.

Haters. I'm pretty impressed that she's so open about all this. She's a crusader against antlerbags and we should all appreciate her for this.
Also, her newer CD (Warrior) has some songs on it that are actually pretty decent, once you get past all the CLUBTRAXXXXX!!! pop crap. So decent that if you snuck them on to the cd of any one of a bunch of other mediocre pop singers they would blend right in. I think in another couple years she'll start putting out actually good stuff once a level of fame allows her to get away with more than just "i like sex" songs.
I  mean, she pulled in iggy pop and she's earned respect and collaboration from the flaming lips, so there's got to be something there hiding behind the "image" that she admits is totally fake.

I find Timber and Die Young to be very catchy.

Leader O'Cola: that's a funny way of spelling "poor ticket sales".

agreed.  just like gaga's last tour when she suddenly cancelled lots of dates because surgery or some lie.  that is how you will know Katy's 15 minutes are about up - cancelled tour dates "because rehab\surgery\getting back in touch with god".

having said that, I don't care for Kesha's music, but she seems cool. Can't hate on her.

Why would someone need to go to rehab for something like that?

Celebrities sure are dumb.

I like that one Rehab song about the guy who got in a fight with his wife. I don't understand what they've got against Ke$ha, htough.

Considering how much of a math buff she is, I she probably had her meals calculated down to the calorie. Not Calorie, calorie.

I read that as, "Kebab force$ Ke$ha to po$tpone her tour", and it still made sense to me.

I don't know if it's the worst of all time, but it may be the worst currently getting radio play. Makes me switch the station faster than a Katy Perry song.

/God I can't wait to get a new car stereo

i'm sold. her record should sit snugly between my complete verve and blue note catalogs with a recommend like that.

I agree with a post on a fark like 6 months ago where the farker said that Kesha is doing exactly whats right.  She's making music for the masses, making a shiate ton of money, and then doing what she wants.  Seemingly she's a smart cookie, and I don't find her that unattractive.

/good for her.

i give her credit.  she is making crap, knows it's crap, and knows it is for the money.

while gaga pretends that doing the exact same thing is "artistic and meaningful".

It's up there right now with worst songs on the radio, right along with "Let Her Go" from Passenger and anything from Maroon 5.

Not sure if trolling, but what we call an "eating disorder" is actually a compulsive disorder, so people need to be trained to break the compulsive behavior.  So that's what "eating disorder rehab" usually is, it's similar to other addiction rehab in that the general goal is to get you to recognize the triggers and behaviors around the destructive practice and then teach you ways to stop it.

Might be related to the same reason that I know people who get lots of funding to study neurological origins of certain eating disorders.  And why DON'T we just tell alcoholics and drug addicts to quit screwing themselves up?...

something about her voice just grates.  there's a quality to her voice that, when she sings in a certain register, it sounds like she needs to clear her throat and it makes me angry.

and that affect she does at the end of every other verse, where she does a kind of upwards trill/yodel, annoys.  like on "Timber", the part that goes:

"it's goin; down, i'm yellin' timberuhhhhHHHH
you're goin down, you're goin down"

Annoys the fark out of me.  i asked in the Seahawks/49ers (or was it Saints?) playoff, where the singer did that as well, if there was a name for that little alanis-esque trick.  it seems like mroe than a few singers do that.  HEY EVERYBODY LISTEN FOR THIS ANNOYING TRILL I DO AT THE END OF EVERY LINE.  ISN'T IT COOL?  YELPING LIKE A COYOTE?  THAT'S NOT ANNOYING AT ALL, RIGHT?

But, then the AA cult wouldn't have their chance to brainwash a new crop of rubes at their most vulnerable!
