Have to assume the will stipulates that the grandmother is to be the gaurdian if something happened to the mother.  Otherwise: bad wording the on the will and the court shouldn't have to hard a time fixing that.  He didn't seem to have sole guardianship of his daughter at the time of his death.  He doesn't get to establish it by dying.

OK, show of hands. Who still believes I exist? LOL, bet you think talent and determination get you somewhere in life, too. Suckers.

So that makes him evil right? It was a good thing he died then, farker probably wasn't paying his fair share or nothing!

Considering the number of movies he was in and his part in a franchise series I'm surprised it was that low. I would have guessed a higher net worth.

Didn't he have a few charities? I'm guessing that's where a lot of the money went.

Look at Paul Newman. After he died, it was revealed that he gave away more than $125 million.

More Paul Walker! MORE!

I must feast upon the news that is generated by Paul Walker's decomposing, roasted flesh, much as Paul Walker feasted upon this ice cream:

img.fark.net

Then I will sit and contemplate what I have done, much as Paul Walker once sat and thought about things!

img.fark.net

And then I will drive as fast as I can, searching for more news regarding PAUL WALKER! I will drive so fast, it will feel like my car is on fire, much as Paul Walker's car was on fire!

img.fark.net

And once I am satiated with all the news I can gorge myself on related to Paul Walker's corpse, I will happily walk away, much as PAUL WALKER once did!

That's my thought. This guy I'd never heard of before he died was the star of a major action movie franchise in its 6th/7th iteration.  I haven't seen any of those movies, but I'd figure they must be making big bucks to get so many made.

It seems PW wasn't any better an investor than he was a driver.

$25m sounds about right, actually, if not a bit on the high side. Movie studios and producers make the big bucks.

Yeah, despite the F&F movies being successful, Walker wasn't exactly a sought after actor that could demand a high price. Besides, Vin Diesel is really the centerpiece of those films.

25million...that's a whole lot of 2G buy in, winner take all races.

Well, it seems that he also like to buy things that he enjoyed.

There seem to be an awful lot of idiots that spend big money on toys that don't have anywhere near that amount of cash in reserve, so whatever.  He was young and liked to do things with his money.

this

ITT: hawhaw, Walker died with ONLY 25 M to show for it. What a chump! He shouldn't have spent so much money living so he could leave behind more now that he's not

Even more evil is that he left that money to his child instead of giving it all to government to redistribute.  His daughter did nothing to earn it, government did, it is theirs not hers now.

No, but people have obviously lied to you about what republicans have said.  Try not to be so gullible.

Successful movie actors now make stupid amounts of money, much greater than their actual worth to society.

Why do you think you no longer see actors' salaries reported anywhere (unless they're working for scale on a labor of love, like a Scorsese or Woody Allen film)?

What may suck in this, and I just read things here and there, is the girl that was his
partner gets nothing? the one that he had been with for years and started dating when she was 16, seems odd he or the estate wouldnt do anything to take care of her

I read somewhere else that the will was filed 10 years ago or so.  A lot can change in those years but unless the will is amended or a new one made it's too bad.  Maybe back then he didn't really want to leave anything to what may have, in his mind, been a less serious partner.

I think Benny Hill is said to have promised his closest friends that he'd remember them in his will.  He never got around to making one though.

There's an absolute clusterfark of epic proportions. They're still not completely clear of who owns certain assets, or where all the money went, and so there are a bunch of albums which are hopelessly out of print.

Methinks there is concern mumsy will spend the money before Meadow gets a chance at it.
