Annin makes great flags that really hold up well. With the various biker events I attend I chew up a lot of flags.

I live a few blocks from Buzz's childhood home.

Other than that, I had no idea that the flag factory in Verona made the flag that was used on the moon landing set.

Other than that, I have nothing to contribute to this thread, or really life in general anymore.

Other than that, I guess I should be going now.

Without water vapor in the atmosphere, we can see for much much further than on earth.

Those mountains could be many many miles away

There's also the slight problem of the red stripe on the space suit, indicating the commander's suit, which were not added until after Apollo 12.

No, which is why I suggested the author is overseas. There's no interview and no editing, it's a space filler that would be reserved for interns if they weren't actually out doing the real reporting they used to pay reporters to do but now don't because they suckered interns.

So, everything that's come out of bell labs in Holmdel (e.f. the transistor) or Edison's lab in Menlo Park (light bulb), Johnson & Johnson and the majority of our Pharmaceutical innovations, Jack Nicholson, Danny DiVito, and Taylor Ham (aka pork roll).

You sure about that, sport?

Yeah, about that whole "leave it in space" thing:

Not to be shallow and/or pedantic, but Farkers almost certainly mean to refer to the American state of New Jersey.  "Jersey" lies in the English Channel and is an island, but if you turn it sideways, squint a little, and attach it to a large land mass, it could kind of resemble the state.
Oh, excuse me.  Apparently, I ended up being both shallow AND pedantic.

Aldrin was not the mission comander, which is what the red stripes on the upper arms and thighs signify. The red stripes were instituted after Apollo 11 when they developed the film and couldn't tell who was Buzz and who was Neil. So not Apollo 11, if it is from Apollo 17 it would be Eugene Cernan. If I remember correctly Harrison Schmitt was a geologist hitching a ride and not a "real" astronaut they would trust with command.
