I don't blame you, since there's apparently a portal to Hell in Gary.

/and even more disconcerting, there's a portal to Gary in Hell...

Why is this a good thing?

Authorities warned the public not to mess with him.

So don't poke him with sticks, or give him a wet willie?

This person is a ruthless recidivist.

Incarcerated for life, fed, clothed and housed for the killings of four people, he escapes and immediately abducts an innocent woman.

How can we possibly keep him from being a threat to society at large, in the future?

Oh, yeah, yeah.  I almost forgot.

considering they shoot unarmed people regularly how did a guy with a box cutter and a hammer not get shot down?

Its been between 0 and 10F in Michigan and Indiana for the last two weeks. Everyone probably just wanted to get back into a warm cruiser, not stand around outside being or documenting a dead body.

It's nice having an actual winter with lots of snow for a change.  It's been like 6 years since we (where i live) had snow on the ground for more than a couple days in a row.

Its been weird not having any thaw in between the storms. The untouched parts of our yard are two feet deep and the plow piles are about 6. I hear our city is through its salt budget already. So it should be an interesting six weeks of driving.

No, here's the thread about it.

He was serving five life sentences on a 1994 conviction for killing four people, according to Michigan Department of Corrections records. Authorities warned the public not to mess with him.

and yet...

He apparently pulled back the bottoms of two fences and crawled underneath to escape, Michigan Department of Corrections spokesman Russell L. Marlan said.

That's some excellent prison security, there, Lou.

How is it that someone violent enough to be serving 5 life sentences and who authorities warn the public "do not mess with" was incarcerated at a facility with lax-enough security that you can simply crawl under the fences to escape?

SquiggsIN: I'm south of Indy so despite the cold temps and snow it's melted away more than once.  I see grass thru the snow but, we're supposed to get another inch or two tomorrow.

So if I need to get a "quarter pounder with cheese" would that be, "message received" or "wrong playbook"?
