This is just sad.

Is it possible this was a suicide? That seems like a psychotic amount of drugs, the amount someone would take if they are trying to OD.

He probably didn't need all of that, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. Probably just trying to get away from all those goddamn bats.

40 bags of heroin? That's rather a lot, isn't it?

2014-02-03 02:23:45 PM
After doing some internet research it sounds like some serious addicts use ~20 bags/day.  I read he was spending $10k/month on drugs

2014-02-03 02:23:46 PM
There was some fear-mongering headline earlier (possibly on Daily Mail) asking if PSH possibly died from using POISONED heroin, because the brand they found in his apt hadn't been around since 2008, and wasn't that suspicious?  I'm pretty sure it was just regular ol' heroin that did the trick.

Are they counting the one in his arm used, half used or in use.

How much damage could 2 bags of heroin really do?

Just think a few years ago it could have been Robert Downey Jr. We can only guess at what sort of awesome work he could have been doing a few years after he had gotten past it. If only :(

On one hand, it may have been cheaper just to get a pistol and do it the easy way, but on the other hand, no sane person would put that much shiat into their body thinking they would come out of it fine.

He was going to go pick up his kids the next morning.  And he hadn't made one phone call.  And he hadn't packed a single thing.

I checked in the ER with the OD triage group street heroin "bag" is usually $10

so the cops found 70 bags, assuming the celeberity status and the danger of the drug...

$145,000,000   one hundred fourty five Billion Dollars

Of course it's gross and morbid. Which is why they do it. The only thing Hollywood-following America loves more than their celebs up on pedestals is when those celebs fall to their deaths in a gross and morbid way.

tinyarena: He was supposed to go pick up his children, so he thought, "Gee, now would be a great time to shoot-up!"

First, how do you know when he died? Have they announced how long he had been dead? Sure, it could have been that morning. But it could just as well have been the night before. That's sort of beside the point, though, if he was back on to that quantity and was using with any regularity. Junkies need junk. So, not shooting up when you need to shoot up and have the means to shoot up is not really an option.

Holding the high ground morally, as you clearly feel you do -- is that just because it gives you a better angle from which to condescend to people less upstanding than yourself?
