groppet: kling_klang_bed: Eh, check out old Japanese, Indian and Roman erotic art. The Brits were tame in comparison, and probably were too afraid to showcase the titanic ding dongs of the Africans, Irish or Scots back in the day.I remember reading something about Pompii that when they found anything sexual they would hide it or cover it up so as not to offend the tourists. Recently I saw something on the digs there and now they show it all. Good to see they are not as prudy anymore.
ambercat: fusillade762: [i.dailymail.co.uk image 306x423]What the hell is going on in this one? Are they using some kind of winch and basket mechanism? After much inspection, it looks like that is what that is. It was super confusing to me, until I realized the figure on the bottom was supposed to be the male, and the one in the basket, female. Then I was just regular confused. I did not think the 18th century had a sex position I didn't know about but lo, there it is. The one where you put your woman in a basket with a hole cut in the bottom and then you put it up on some kind of pulley thingy and then you manually lower her up and down on your penis. Or at least....I think that's what's happening. The real question is why. Is this what people actually did, to somehow make sure the woman wasn't in control of the sex (riding the man) despite being on top, or was this supposed to be a visual joke? I don't get it.
