NFA: So during the Bush presidency the GOP lost Americans about a million jobs per month.GOP during Obama's presidency: YOU HAVEN'T FIXED OUR DISASTER FAST ENOUGH!!!
Schaniqwa: BMulligan: Kittypie070: Rob Portman (R-Ohio)Beyond health care, Portman says the state's economy is being hobbled by fear. Business owners, he says, are "scared" of what the Obama administration will push for next, be it cap-and-trade energy legislation, card check, or the expiration of the Bush tax cuts. "You've got to figure out how to move Washington toward a pro-growth, pro-jobs agenda - a laser-like focus on jobs."Okey dokey, so now Rob Portman is the President of the United States and Bambam has to...serve as Chief Justice for the Supreme Court./4 gold stripes on the sleeves FTW.So, we've determined that either Obama or Portman first used the phrase - and yet Boehner takes credit for it. Curiouser and curiouser. There were plenty of people using that phrase in describing the constantly renewed focus on jobs.Did Boehner actually take credit, or did he just use the same phrase?
DrSansabeltNoShiatSlacks: When I think of the current president, I always think of total incompetence.
Nabb1: Maybe it's time someone owned up and embrace their failures.
SCUBA_Archer: El Pachuco: SCUBA_Archer: a Republican will need to be elected PresidentGiven that the GOP chose 30 years ago to go all in on a demographic that is old, dying off and not being replaced, y'all have a bit of a problem with that plan.Propose a few more draconian gun laws and let's see how much Joe Taxpayer ends up having to spend on his newfound "healthcare coverage" and Democrats may need to switch to the Whig party to get some attention.
DrSansabeltNoShiatSlacks: When I think
DogBlack: I keep coming back to the idea of a modern WPA. Something that would help the long term unemployed get back into the workforce. Something that would provide a base of demand that would make the private sector have to compete for labor. Something that would cut the cost of.welfare programs and long tem UI. Something that would provide a labor pool for National Parks, Department of Education, Infrastructure, digitizing the Library and Archives, cleaning up brownfields and urban blight. Etc.
cman: Cant blame Obama for joblessness. Its not like he has a button on his desk that says "press me to create jobs"Instead, when I think of Obama, I think of a man who lied through his teeth on the Patriot Act and civil liberties.
ScaryBottles: So let me guess. The "article" consists primarily of a lot of this.....[mysonhasaids.files.wordpress.com image 707x600]WNRTA-
Schaniqwa: that was a pretty good argument for the first couple years, terrible argument after 5 years
SCUBA_Archer: Don't worry, it will never be Obama's fault. Unless of course things turn around. Then it will be Obama's awesome, fantastic recovery./Eventually a Republican will need to be elected President. Can't be Bush's fault forever.
Schaniqwa: he repeatedly claimed he was going to be laser focused on jobs
When most Americans think of President Obama
Kumana Wanalaia: It's not like the conservatives in the house have any reason to want to create jobs.40 some odd votes to repeal Obamacare.LASER LIKE FOCUS ON JOBSdo you ever wonder if the GOP is just screwing America?
Schaniqwa: Aar1012: I must not be most Americans then. I think GOP Obstructionism and the failure of Reaganomics.NFA: So during the Bush presidency the GOP lost Americans about a million jobs per month.wut? you think they lost 96M jobs?GOP during Obama's presidency: YOU HAVEN'T FIXED OUR DISASTER FAST ENOUGH!!!that was a pretty good argument for the first couple years, terrible argument after 5 years.
TV's Vinnie: Nabb1: Maybe it's time someone owned up and embrace their failures.Great idea![media.salon.com image 750x500]

cameroncrazy1984: Nabb1: Maybe it's time someone owned up and embrace their failures. It's hard to get the GOP to admit they failed at anything. They are always "not conservative enough!"
