"I thought my daughter was just going to do the fetish stuff."

"Before detectives handcuffed her, she told them she was only 15 "

So did the detectives have to pay or was there no charge?

Well, I think we've found one of her clients.

I was just about to judge that woman to be a bad mother for pimping out her 15 year old, but then I read that she was only going to have the girl do the fetish stuff. Totally different situation then obviously, glad I got to hear her side of the story.

Depends on if she was pimping her daughter or her son.

I'm so glad that the Sun Sentinel ferreted out that important distinction from Facebook and other public records.  Whoever said that print journalism was a dying art?

That should be automatic death penalty; or at the very least, forceable sterilization.

I know how you feel. The way those socialists went after this woman who is just an upcoming enterprising business woman who was hiring a young girl to give her, her first big break in the world. This is typical of Obama's policies to go after the jobmakers.

Going after a woman's reproductive rights is always the first move for you people.

Say, do you know if the kids are being kept with a foster family anywhere near here? Oh.... no reason...."

semiotix: I don't get the business model here.

Sure, there's demand for underage prostitutes. Maybe there's even so much demand that there are guys who will risk the random off-the-street solicitation of some out-of-town redneck mom, instead of going through the established (and presumably much safer) mobbed-up channels.

But does the Super Bowl really change the demand curve here? The few extra people that the game is bringing into the NYC area (home to ~15M people and more than enough underage prostitutes) are the ones who can afford to hire the sufficiently legal 19-year-old through the escort service in the phone book. That is, the 19-year-old who just does a better 15-year-old impression than any 15-year-old alive.

I think Mom should have paged through her old microeconomics textbook before committing to this bit of entrepreneurship.

She was thinking with heart instead of her head.
She's a Seattle fan who just wanted to whore out her daughter at Seahawks' Super Bowl appearance.
How many chances is she likely to get??

I cringe every time I read an article that reads, "according to a linkedin profile of the same name, blah blah blah."  In 40 years, we've gone from Woodward and Bernstein breaking the biggest political story in our nation's history, to local reporters Googling names out of the police blotter.

MajorTubeSteak: Sometimes people think that if they sweet talk the police they can get off, like when you are caught speeding. What they fail to realize is the police can't and won't let you off when the stakes has been raised to a felony.

At this point, anything you say is just helping strengthen their case against you.

You gotta try though.

Remember, the ones that work nobody hears about.

Today, a typo in a police report, next year fact-checking of a politician's statement.  Baby steps.
