(ABC Local)   Good: You're a field deputy for the sheriff's department. You have no office, no phone number issued to you and you spend your days at the country club. Better: The position pays you $171,000 a year   (abclocal.go.com) divider line 9

JMacPA: grinding_journalist: See also: Rhode Island's Nuclear Power Safety Inspector, a position that pays $75,000/yr....when there are no nuclear plants in RI.

Ummmmmm.

But if you'd rather NOT have that inspected. . . . .

Pretty massive facility you've got there, and I bet he/she's inspecting the shiat out of it.

"Monday: Inspected lock on Door 5, Building 2.  It's still there.  Returned to office and wrote up inspection report on Form 375C, plus, developed contingency plan should lock ever not be there.  Prepared for Tuesday's inspection of Door 5, Building 2, to determine whether it opens in or out. Noted that flashlight has ceased to operate.  Input request for D cell batteries (Part# R75-47-D) on Form 2464. Will suspend all inspections until requested parts arrive.  One hour overtime worked."

TFA obviously must be mistaken.

WTFDYW: wichitaleaf: Devo: Brakefornobody: Why did I know this was in California before reading it?

/That earthquake can't come fast enough.

Who is going to step up and fund the flyover states?

You've got that backwards my friend.
The flyover states feed the world and are self sufficient.
If you think California is in better fiscal shape then any of the flyover states you are a moron.

So true

Yeah, no.

See article about the San Joaquin valley for food, and the net federal dollar taker vs contributor states.

Keep up that Cali hate train though, while I bask in the 70 degree cloudless day today.

Stay warm flyover states...

grokca: How the hell are you supposed to pay your country club dues when you are only making $171,000?
Someone should look into getting this guy a raise.

He was already loaded, the salary was how the sheriff pays back $20,000 loans.  You know, cop math.

Maybe the wildfires will be bigger this year for Cali. Big enough to turn that shiathole in to a wasteland.

Reading that story, I just thought "How the fark did you not expect to get caught? You didn't even attempt to hide it."  Then I noticed California and it explained it all.
