(Daily Mail)   US medical board now allows gynecologists to treat men, but only if they have seen at least two Lifetime Original movies in the last six months, and really listen to what their wives have to say   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 30

I suppose they could advise on stretch marks to male obese patients...?

That speculum f*cking hurts.

DRTFA but I would assume male to female transsexuals would still need vaginal Pap smears if they are sexually active. Uncertain what else an XY patient would need GYN consultation for... Mammograms?  Interesting.

The demand for women gynecologists to look at balls skyrockets.

Only if you watch "Not without my speculum."

I guess I lucked out. The sound of my wife's voice is quite lovely. And she often has magnificent things to say when she is not throwing things at me.

To be fair some of these are not really men but mere males:

Some obstetricians and gynecologists had also been treating men for ........cosmetic procedures including liposuction.

No man needs liposuction

No - it's so men can continue to receive treatment from them for HPV and anal cancer.

Other folks with lady parts always went to Dr.'s who treat lady parts.

LOL, why? Unless the MTF received a uterus transplant as part of the gender reassignment, there is no risk of cervical cancer.

Not so - I'm a board member of a community health center. Both MTF & FTM individuals may need ob/gyn cancer screenings & exams. A pharmacist should know this - or at least review before speaking.

I've gone to a gynecologist.  She was a hot doctor and I had been seeing her at a different office just before she finished some part of her certification.  A few weeks later I go to her new office and she was working as a gynecologist but I already had an appointment.

How many movies does "Cyber Seduction - His Secret Life" count for?

Well, if you're a pussy, might as well go see a specialist in that 'field'.

This is really a follow up to this story from several months ago.

Excerpt:
After visiting dozens of doctors and suffering for nearly five years from pelvic pain so severe that he could not work, Daniel Davidson, 57, a dentist in Dalton Gardens, Idaho, finally found a specialist in Phoenix who had an outstanding reputation for treating men like him.
Dr. Davidson, whose pain followed an injury, waited five months for an appointment and even rented an apartment in Phoenix, assuming he would need surgery and time to recover.
Six days before the appointment, it was canceled. The doctor, Michael Hibner, an obstetrician-gynecologist at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, had learned that members of his specialty were not allowed to treat men and that if he did so, he could lose his board certification - something that doctors need in order to work.
The rule had come from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. On Sept. 12, it posted on its website a newly stringent and explicit statement of what its members could and could not do. Except for a few conditions, gynecologists were prohibited from treating men. Pelvic pain was not among the exceptions.
Dr. Davidson went home, close to despair. His condition has left him largely bedridden. The pain makes it unbearable for him to sit, and he can stand for only limited periods before he needs to lie down.

And the first guy to tell his buddies, "Sorry I'm late; I had to see my gynecologist" is going to have the strangest looks.

Will gynecologists only treat men on their lunch hour?

The best Dr I've ever met is GF gyno, so for well visits I'd be ok with this.

only during their lunch hour, obscure??

I'm a "guy" ( born male, have some extra female bits... thx god or my messed up parents or whatever ). Have a gynecologist, she's awesome, but damn its awkward going there.

The prostate is partly made of the leftover bits of the uterus and such. "uterus masculinus".

also many women have prostatic buds leftover too.

everyone start off the same, everyone is born with 2 uteri and a penis. it all usually gets absorbed or outgrown and undeveloped, but you know not everything is perfect and a LOT more people than you might think have leftovers that they never know abut unless it causes a problem.

I could see a young guy not wanting to see a urologist for some issue concerning his junk. Considering most urologist, 99% of their business is old farts that are having trouble pissing.
