But dozens of pictures is kind of creepy, like it crosses the line from adoring parent to stalker.

I LOVE this kid's sense of style and I wish I could try this with my own toddler and dog, but I have a feeling there'd be a lot more blood on the sheets by the end.

There's one kid who isn't going to have asthma.

All our kids were raised with dogs, none have asthma, and many of their cousins do.  Those cousins were raised in dogless homes.

Get your kid a dog.

QFT. Anecdotal evidence and all that jazz, but my son is 13 and has been raised amongst a menagerie including dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, frogs, turtles...oh, and his iguana, Eddie Lizzard. He's healthy as a horse. ;)
Never any allergies, hell...barely ever even gets a cold. No real idea if it helps, but if the animals are helping, then it's one more reason to keep them around. :D

Hrm.  Thinking about it - two step-siblings who have asthma, raised without pets.  The third is much younger, and they got dogs when he was like 1.  He doesn't have asthma.

Could be random luck, could be more.

Bzzzt. I grew up with at least two animals in the house at any given time, and have asthma. My anecdotal evidence nullifies yours!

Please. Don't buy babies. It just encourages reckless and irresponsible breeding. Adopt one from your local shelter!

This is why we cannot have nice things. People always want to go and ruin it.

I would like these more if they weren't obviously staged after the kid/dog fell asleep.

Should have done the dog's snout instead of the kid (or maybe in addition to).  Instead makes it subtle.

But odds are that he'll still end up with better mental and physical health from the experience.

True.  Neither of my kids have ever lived in a household without a dog.  Losing a dog will be tough for them, but I wouldn't trade the benefits of having a dog to escape the pain of losing one.

Sort of.  I didn't realize you did a copy/paste from the original, since the mouth blended really well on the kid.  I would just have done a color capture and blend on the dog's snout.  Of course if I could do that I would have.  The shirt looks legit, which is worlds beyond what I could do.

Well, it's not coming onto an internet forum and shiatting all over anything cute or funny to prove what a badass you are, but it's certainly got an element of "Look At Me!"

It wasn't a request.  I was just saying "this is cool, it would be great it"...

Get them used to the idea with shorter lived pets that are also less bonding. Gold fish, hamster, etc.

Or you could just send the dog to that farm upstate where all the blind dogs with cancer live.
