It doesn't really mater who is POTUS.

The only power the President has is Veto power (which can be overcome) and command over the Military (certain actions still require Congressional approval).

Congress and the Supreme Court have the real power.

Has there ever been bigger sore losers than the Romneys?

Big f*cking deal

BunkyBrewman: Has there ever been bigger sore losers than the Romneys?

Not since that Australian guy

2014-01-31 12:53:12 PM
Yep, we're all still alive and with all the eyes and limbs we're supposed to have thanks to him losing.   He'd have gone full nuclear warlord with Iran and North Korea within the first 100 days if he'd won.

Sarah Palin? Though it's quite possible she's GLAD she lost since she's probably made more money off of it than she would have as VP...

2014-01-31 12:55:30 PM
But you saved 15% or more on your taxes.  So that's good.  Right?

2014-01-31 01:04:19 PM
Yep, the country lost...

'cept for ya know, the majority of Americans, the ones who voted for Obama...

WE'RE F*CKING WINNERS B*TCH!!!!!!

"We lost, but truly the country lost, by not having Mitt as president." Then she decides that she'll "be polite and nice and not comment" on how she actually thinks Obama's second term is going.

Yeah, well, we already knew you were a passive-aggressive biatch, Ann.

2014-01-31 01:06:07 PM
And to be precise, according to Mitt himself, only 53% of the country lost.

I think you can tell a lot about how good someone might be at being President from how they run their campaign, and the Romney campaign was such total fail it really makes you think that he would have been a god-awful President.  The fact that he seemed to swallow the "skewed polls" nonsense totally, to the degree of considering states that were very much in play all wrapped up, shows to me that he probably will not listen to advice that does not already correspond with his worldview.  And Presidents that have that quality have been our worst Presidents.

I would have to say Bush Jr.  He showed up and started Presidenting even though he loss.

Deal with it.

My opinion of him has continued to go down as I hear more from him.

The President staffs and oversees the various divisions, offices, bureaus etc. of the federal government. Including such inconsequential entities as the Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, and so on. You may have heard of them.

Also, the Supreme Court? He kind of has an effect on that and the other federal courts by, you know, picking who gets to serve on them.

It kind of does matter who POTUS is. And yeah, as much as Obama annoys me sometimes, I'm very glad that Mitt Romney is swimming around in his money bin instead of the Oval Office.

What she really means is Ann as First Lady.

He's supposed to be a savvy businessman representing the party of smart businessmen but they fell for a pretty obvious scam. I may as well vote for someone who tried to raise funds for his campaign by replying to an email containing an interesting business offer from Nigeria.

The Romney's can f*ck right the f*uck off and disappear. Any time now, losers. I'm waiting for your sorry asses to fade back into obscurity for the sake of the nation, the planet and our sanity.

/Mitt Romney is a terrible person who should not be allow to hold any power over any institution of government.

Saying we lost by not having Mitt as President, she made it pretty clear how she thinks the term is going.

Why are the Romneys still in the news? Is he going to try again in 2016 or something?

Some New Hampshire poll had him as the front runner. Admittedly meaningless but it would give me a chuckle if shiatsack mcmormon and his poisonous stepford wife ran again.

Romney didn't just lose, he lost in a landslide. So I guess I can see why it might be a sore point for the Romney clan. That said, they can console themselves by rolling around in a large pile of tax free money and jacking off to tea party rants on the evils of affordable health care for working class Americans.

If that happened, I honestly hope someone, anyone has the balls to ask him "So, this is now your third attempt at a job you clearly think you deserve. What is going to be different this time, since the American people have already said "no" to you twice"?  Also, "Are you doing this because you can't believe someone actually said "no" to you?"

It probably won't happen, and the questions are even less likely to happen, but it would be pretty awesome to see it go down that way.

I think the men and women of the armed forces who are still alive and have all their limbs because we're not balls deep in Iraq, Iran, Syria and Afghanistan are winners because Romney lost. I feel for Romney's corporate buddies though. My heart goes out to them.

C'mon.  Even Laura has broken with Bush on occasion.

How about something gracious and noncommittal?  She and Mitt have clearly learned nothing from their experiences during the campaign.  "It's your loss."  "We lost because of X."  That lack of introspection, which made it impossible to course correct during the campaign, is the reason they lost.

These are people who are not accustomed being told "no."  And now they're bitter that the country did.
