Oddly, the RNC never said the tweet was incorrect, just offensive.

cman: No one should have been fired.

Exactly. The proper response to an ultimatum from Reince Priebus is to fax him a scan of your balls.

Gah, is there any minor slight that the right wingers won't take completely disproportional umbrage to?

MSNBC needs to grow some balls. Don't apologize for telling the truth, and stop giving a damn if you hurt the poor little teabaggers feelings.

PsiChick: They apologized. That's it. It's over. Drop it already.

They shouldn't have apologized.

Pappas: While I don't think MSNBC should necessarily have apologized, taking a random cheap-shot at the right wing in a tweet about a cereal commercial is just stupid.

MSNBC, as a network, is insufferable save Maddow/Hayes/Kornaki, who are some of the best on TV. If they'd follow that model... smart, sharp, fact based reporting... and get rid of Sharpton, Matthews, Harris-Perry, O'Donnell, and everyone on Morning Joe except maybe Barnacle, they'd be better off.

I would say, replace pretty much everybody except Maddow and Kornacki. Chris Hayes needs to get off MSNBC and straight up do "Meet the Press".

MSNBC is infuriating to watch because they have three of the best on TV, and the rest are gibbering fools. At least on Fox news it's always a gibbering fool.

Corvus: A) I don't watch MSNBC
B) This whole thing is stupid butt hurt from the right.
C) Accusing people of racism, and even if you are wrong, is NOT racism. The right keep trying to redefine the term "racism" like they do with so many words.

Oh and
D) yeah it was a dumb tweet in the first place.

Okay, so a snarky stupid Tweet caused an inordinate amount of butthurt so now we have a sniveling apology. Are there any grown-ups in charge of this country any more?

I'm a left-winger, and I've given up on MSNBC. Their infantile presentation (of views I actually agree with) makes me gag. (I'm looking at you, Al Sharpton.)

That said, this whole tweet controversy is a very VERY big deal, and I hope it's resolved soon.
