So, is there any place to see these shorts, or is it like all other Animated Shorts nominees over the years where we only hear about them at Oscar time and then poof! gone.

/you'd think they'd put them on youtube or similar

Going to see this tomorrow! So psyched about it. The SO and I look forward to this more than anything.

Germ: Theatres often run them as one-week only specials. In Seattle, Landmark Theatres always shows them, and the last two years, the tickets have sold out to the point that reserving them is a good idea. If you have a non-Regal/AMC group of theatres in your area, check it out and see if they show them. You get the five nominees and then the honorable mention shorts too, so it's worth every penny.

Since Smelly McUgly apparently doesn't know how the Reply/Quote ("") button and FARK Notifications work, I just wanted you to be notified of his/her response.

Going to see them at the Hopkins Art Center in Hanover, NH in two weeks. Rather excited.

Nope, just got excited about talking about the shorts, saw his/her response only after I posted my initial line, and forgot to go back and quote him. My apologies.

All good choices except for 'Get A Horse'. It was cute, but compared with 'Paperman' from 'Wreck-It-Ralph' last year, it's rather 'meh'.

Interesting. Thanks. I'll try to keep an eye out for it around here (Chicago).

COMALite J:

thanks too, though it's not like this thread is being buried in an avalanche of comments.

You'd think they'd put them on a streaming service. Pay a few bucks, get to watch them all.

I'm pretty sure I saw last year's grouping up on iTunes around Oscar time.

On another note, this reminded me of an article I saw the other day.  It's not animation, though a first glance at the production stills made me think it was either 3D or stop motion.
