(WRCB)   Trapped motorists from Georgia snowstorm given MREs by National Guard. Commuters immediately complain that if they wanted to be snowbound and be forced to consume inedible food, they would have gone to the Olympics in Sochi   (wrcbtv.com ) divider line

It's pretty typical from liberal areas like Atlanta.  Oh noes!  Government come help us.  It's the same thing with Katrina looters and libs in Jersey wanting their Sandy money.  Gimme gimme gimme!

If these people would use Common Sense and Personal Responsibility they wouldn't need to cry to the government.

Car stuck in the snow?  Drive it better.  House flooded?  Move out of a floodplain, retard.

In the words of the great Sam Kinnison:

MOVE TO WHERE THE FOOD IS!!!

It's as simple as that.

They would not have ended up stuck and out of gas if they had just moved slowly until they could get to shelter instead of being so scared of the road being slick they wouldn't even try to move at all

TNel: Anyone else this morning think the 20 degrees outside was down right warm?

We've been having a heat wave in the Chicago area, temperatures even got up to a scorching 32 yesterday. Of course, we're going to pay for that tomorrow, with anywhere from 4-10" of snow on the way. This winter reminds me of the 1970s and early 80s. It was more fun when I was a kid.

So don't eat the MRE if you think it's not edible. It's not likely you will starve you fat lazy farks.  Have personal responsibility and don't get yourself stranded for fark sake.

Cities in the North are much more accustomed to snowstorms, and in places like New York, powerful mayors have the single-handed authority to order salt-spreaders and plows onto the streets.

But the Atlanta area, as frustrated experts pointed out, is a patchwork of regional governments that often don't get along with each other.

Come to PA. The County that I live in has 37 differnent municipal, county, and state agencies to plow the roads. Some how it all works out.

They actually accepted such socialist handouts? I thought the only sensible thing they could do down there was join the governor in praying for the ice to melt.

Not to mention that the Georgia (former Soviet Republic of, not the state) tourism industry has been working hard to try to convince Olympic visitors to go there as well as it's quite close - and Georgia has some of the best food on Earth, as well as some of the oldest archaeological evidence of winemaking.

What's with this new trend of greenlighting headlines that rival War and Peace?
